But, first,to all who are insulting her, let me assure you that Prof is a very beautiful lady attractive to any normal male who chances upon her. Not only in physique, but she is also, intellectually excellent.
Now to the issue she raised. Any PR person worth his salt, knows that communication between an institution and its publics, is much often, better than done by clearly identified persons. Who is assigned to say what on behalf of an organization is paramount, here.
Within Ghana Government machinery, it is expected that that there would be clear cut communication system from where reliable information from government could be obtained.The Ministry of Information has since independence been seen to be doing this work for government.
Multiple system, as is prevalent now is the course of distortions and ambiguity encountered in government communication. While one system says this the other says that; and the people are left wondering what government is telling them
So the Prof's dilema could be put in a question form, thus: 'what information from the Presidency is the Minister of Information and Media Relations not capable of carrying; which a Presidential Spokesperson can carry better?' More importantly, which government source should people rely for credible information?
My conclusion on the matter is that, 1. Ghana government (both NDC and NPP - remember, Kuffour's Andrew Awuni and Kwabena Agyapong?) has been copying blindly from the White House or
2. It is a matter of 'job for the boys'.
