Head of Communication team is different from Minister for Information. Maybe, and may be for the first time this year I will support the president on this appointment. Could be some restructuring will take place to smoothen his sunken image over the numerous scandals that have tweaked his regime. A Head of Communication or director is responsible for the overall tactical and strategical information/media management in the presidency and up to and including his probable re-election bid. I wouldn't contest for re-election giving the troubles he Mahama has faced since coming to office If I was in his shoes. The Ministry of Information is there to disseminate the strategies formulated in the presidency to the public and filter all information coming to the country. Clear line of areas of responsibility. However, the overlapping roles come from the ministry of communications, and the National communication authority plus again the Ministry of Information. The two ministries of Communication and Information can be merged if Mahama intends to save money for poor Ghana and not just creating mere jobs for the boys. Oman Ghana relax, he is right on this. He needs aa strong PR machine well oiled to correct lots of mistakes done in jetty start. As for this I think John Mahama the president was right in appointing whoever he thought proper to be his spokesperson. Ayirga in all honesty is a pale shadow of himself. He must be let go by the president and so must the NDC talking horse and in charge of Ministry of Communications be shown the exit. he is a draw on national resources. Save money, save the economy, John Mahama. I concur

Democratic practice requires constant dialogue between the government atvarious levels and the governed; between the president and the people.
A lot of success in the national development effort depends on the management of information between the president and his appointeeson the one hand and between the president and the people on the other hand.
The appointment of Mr Malor as spokesman is an indication that much premium is being put on government information management.
Itis too early to pass judgment on it.

We'll soon see how NDC will coach Malor to become a liar overnight although he so far seems clean. Then again, it'll depend if the man will allow himself to be used and fooled just for the sake of money. Let's see what happens; wheter he'll also follow his belly, like others before him. All he needs to do is to communicate more often; for as captain he should tell us where the ship is heading to make us more comfortable in the ship. He not worry about what his critics would say after he speaks to Ghanaians. He should for example (like Nkrumah and Obama) do more weekly am address to the nation and tell nation his goals for the week, month, or year.

i suspect the president is malicious. if my president will go to the US and go posing in front of a CNN logo it tells something. mahama might out of envy, just want to muddy this enthusiastic and self made man. just muddy him. ben is a mathematician, ben is a statistician, ben is an ICT expert. during our secondary schol days in the 80s, & he was in the university he has a soft spot for the down drodden and he is quick to impart knowledge, to inspire you, to motivate you as if his own livelihood depended on it. chaps in abelemkpe community those days may remember this. it was later that we were told that that tall handsome man with a unique voice volunteering to impart knowledge is the one we have been hearing on the BBC. it is that passion, and enthusiasm that made BBC to virtually coerced him to come work with them. he did not go there with his CV searching for a job. he was in the UK to study.
