The TUC's call for state funeral again proves their selfish and nation wrecking belief in the right of entitlement. Instead of a state burial and asking the state to bear the cost of his children's education, GJA should consider honouring Komla by naming the annual Best Journalist Award after him. That would be a long last legacy than a state burial.

Cheap talk shouldnt be coming from TUC which Dumor wasnt a member. How many people in BBC are TUC members in ghana.

The GJA should have first consult the President on this issue before coming out public on the issue, now they are in a dilemma? and want to push it by force, they should learn to consult stakeholders on issues like this before coming out public. kOMLA deserves better from the GJA then this cheap propaganda.

The one time captain of the national team, Black Stars, Emmanuel Quarshie passed away just last year and was he given a national burial?

Very soon the death of every individual Ghanaian will require a state burial.

Komla Domor was working as a private man with the BBC at the time of his pathetic death and therefore do not deserve a nation burial.

The Journalist Association is the best institution with the support of all to give Komla a deserved burial as was given to Prince Ebo Godwin another brilliant Ghanaian BBC correspondence based in Lome-Togo, who passed away November 2012.

What kind of nonsense is this? State burial for someone who happened to be working for a foreign media organization to earn a living to support his family? He was in no way representing Ghana! Would any of the campaigners of state burial for him, argue for the same benefit extended to all Ghanaians in the diaspora who work for foreign organizations, and die? And, how about Ghanaians who toil at the various High Commissions and Embassies, and at least represent the interests of the nation? I raise these ridiculous questions to illuminate the foolhardiness of the clamor for state burial for anyone outside a select few that includes, say the President and Vice-President, and possibly the Chief Justice.

It also goes to show you the mentality of the leaders out there. This is a simple logic the man should have known of its cost to productivity and wasteful resources.
