But the fact still remains that by Atuguba's bogus Verdict, he's caused people at home and around the world to lose faith in the judiciary system. My White friends who were planning to visit Ghana called me to express their shock when they heard about the final verdict. They got interested in the election petition case filed at the Supreme Court since they had planned to visit Ghana even before the December elections. When things started getting hot after the December elections their focus was always on Ghana, probably because of what happened in Kenya and other places in Africa. I kept on saying to them that Ghana is a peaceful country. Had anything violent occurred I could be a liar to them. Thanks God everything went on and ended peacefully, esp. when Nana Akufo-Addo called John Mahama to congratulate him after the verdict. Atuguba is corrupt and biased; he can't be trusted in any case brought before him. He's lost a great deal of respect and I wonder if he realises that.

For me (Not my White friends), The verdict was absolutely CORRECT and reflected the wishes of the collective Ghanaian wish to be led by President JDM. There will always be views on either side of the argument, but I beg you my brother. How can anybody change Supreme Court decision? It the last Law in ghana and its decision is final. How can anybody tell Chief Justice her has made a mistake and Chief Justice can never make a mistake. How will ghanaians see the jutice system if the chief jutice is wrong, we will never respect the Law and that is the reason why John Mahama should continue to be the president. The decision made by Chief Justice to Atuguba.
The first thing was to move the post and bring in more players and more balls. In doing so in court make the first allegation (ball) mixed with all the ball, in chosing that first ball will be impossible.
Atuguba been clear used the justice system where a case is divided to small portion when the judge chose which to ask question on.
We all know the were irrigularities in Election so that question as Atuguba was consider didnt matter after the advice from the Chief Justice.
We NPP is not saying John Mahama is not the president, we are saying the Justice System with Chief Justice as the leader made a mistaking by swearing in John Mahama by mistake. Chief Justice cant make a mistake because they have to be sure before making any decision, and on swearing John Mahama was a mistake and cant turn it if even she wants. You cant swear in a president and three months time you say you were wrong, a Chief Justice can never allow such a thing to happen.
John Mahama knows very well the election was nothing close to fair but as he is sworn in as president it can never be change.
John Mahama is very guilty and its costing ghana dearly. He cant govern the country because of the qult he hass in his head. John Mahama thinks all his appointee are not doing the jobs they are supposed to be doing, and that is not true.
Ministers, MPs and John Mahama appointee all wants to work and work hard, how can they when they dont know what to do, those who know dont have the means to do it.
Every MP want roads around the town and villages they represent, its true but will never get the means as far as John Mahama is the president. Quilt is a killer.
Next time Chief Justice should be very SURE before swearing in a president. The second mistake was made by this Chief Justice by swearing in somebody ghanaians didnt vote for as president. If the president and his vice out of the country doesnt mean chief Justices swear in somebody ghanaians is vote for.

It is now clear that the other parties in opposition don't trust the judiciary any more and may fight if any elections is rigged in Ghana. Ghanaians are not clever than other Africa countries who have gone to war because of elections. Nana Addo prevented the first civil war that near engulfed the country but I doubt if people will treat him kindly ifhe dares accept any bogus defeat again. I will not be there but I have friends and relatives whose lives I value and pray for. The necessary electoral reforms should be quickly done before going to the polls.

I don't know if Atuguba and his colleagues understood that the whole world was watching and that any dubious verdict could tarnish the reputation of the judiciary and Ghana as whole? He thought he was on top of the world and didn't give a damn---I believe he now regrets having caused such a blunder. By his careless decision, he's caused most Ghanaians to lose faith in the court system; he's just a disgrace. Looking at his profile reveals that he's not an honest man, yet he tried to pull his weight around, punishing people while he couldn't exhibit any good character. He's corrupt to the bone--people shouldn't trust Atuguba on any serious matter. He's not a genuine man!

If the Supreme Court is not free to determine its own terms and procedures in its own court, then what is it worth for?
If the terms for determining the verdict were changed by Justice Atubiga as Jake is claiming how does that prevent their "so-called " 5 judges from ruling in their favour? Is Jake saying Atubiga interfered with the rulings of their 5 judges?
Looking deeply into Jake's revelation, it appears to me that the NPP were sure they had 5 justices in the SC who would rule in their favour no matter what. This shows that, the SC verdict actually had an overbearing touch of the hand of God - after all the petition was so frivolous and diabolical. The final ruling must therefore be a real shocker to the petitioners and this explains the manner in which they keep whining long. If the NPP does not do a serious introspect and amend their ways, then they should be prepared for more shocks in 2016.

Any objective observer of the actions of the NPP would note that the NPP is deliberately doing everything to firstly discredit the NDC the NDC in ferry aspect of the elections results and also to create the impression that the NDC is as incoherent to rule as it is equally corrupt. This is a very sorry attitude by a political party. How on earth can a National Chairman have the guts to describe a judge as being rusty, just for the simple reason that the verdict did not go in his favour. Have Ghanaians not read through tthe lies and chicanery of the NPP for all this while. Were Ghanaians not told that votes of Akufo Addo had been taken to pad up those of John Mahama? Were Ghanaians not told that Mahama was a thief and that he had corroborated with the Electorsl Commission to steal the mandate from Akufo Addo? Noe of these things were proved in court. In fact at a time. The NPP without shame told. Ghanaians that the NPP had no qualms with Mahama and that their beef was with the EC. Did the NPP not say that there were certain polling stations which they did not know of and that that was secretly done with the view to helping the NDC. Did the NPP not say that over 250,000 persons have illegally voted out of Ghana and that they had documents and evidence to prove same? All these turned out to be a huge hoax. My view is tha the NPP Natioanal Chairman is firstly trying to take attention away from his very criminal statements which he made regarding the justification to people even bribing their way to get power if they have the money. Indeed he cannot make a saint out of Nana Akufo Addo for supposedly abiding by the court verdict.. He had no option but to agree with the verdict. If he had decided to go wayward, the security guys would have appropriately handled him. There is an authority and he could not have been an authority unto himself to pick and choose. Anyway I know all right thinking Ghanaians will treat this irresponsible statement of Jake the Drunk with all the contempt it deserves

Honestly, I Wonder how the desiee for political power can turn the reasoning of rational beings into irrational beings. In fact we all followed the court proceedings on television except that,Jake Obetsebi Lamptey would like to convince us that there wa something different which was not shown to the public during proceedings. Nobody refused the fact that there were irregularities here and there during the élections. What the judgement stated is that inspite of the irregularities that does not warrant the annulment of the results. Because of the following points:
1. The irregularities were in favour of both sides. Or benefitted both sidesthus NDC and NPP.
2. The irregularities are not so widespread to warrant the cancellation of the results.
3.The so called irregularities after all are issues concerning logistics and administrative failures or inadequacies or both.
What rather is appalling is the dishonesty on the part of the petitioners. All the irregularities mentioned by the petitioners (NPP) for which they are seeking annulment were identified only in the winning areas of the defendants (NDC). Which implies that there was no irregularity in the strongholds of the petitioners as far as their judgement is concerned. This is the irony of it all for which they the petitioners thought justice would be declared in their favour. Thus if the results from the strongholds of the respndents are scattled or nullified then they could be declared winners instead. This is why Tsatsu's cross examination was so long, just to prove that there were irregularities in the strongholds of the petitioners equally by which Dr. Bawumia continued to clueslessly respond 'you and I were not there'.
I get baffled that these petitioners continue to make claims which are illogical.I Wonder why the petitioners think losing a democratic élections in 8 out of the régions makes them overall winners? Someone must explain this to me!
