Yes, she might not agree, but that is what we call 'Religious Freedom' in Africa , our land. A true chirstian on fire should pray,with fervency for the fetish priest to be converted,by the power of the holy spirit,but not to go and destroy it when the soul serving the idol is not saved.
The bible teaches that when the apostles preached, souls were converted and those who were converted brought their books and they were burnt.
We should be careful the way we speak for the holy spirit.The holy spirit works in a supernatural way,dealing with the issue form the root;she could pray for fire to come down from heaven to burn the shrine,like prophet Eiijah did;that way,no police or court could hold you accountable,because, you did not set the shrine on fire,However, if the shrine has power, no human being should fight for a god who claims to have super natural powers to work wonders.If the god or shrine has power,it should defend itself.
What sort of idol in Ghana is worth up to 12000 or (120,000,000 old cedis).Is the man claiming damages for the revenue he would have earned from the trade or that is the actual value of he idols?.If he is really serving the true and living God,he should us the cost of the idols he got from he bush/forest,or its current value.Or that is the claim for damaging the idols without his permission?
This is now a means of livelihood, so if you breach the law of the land,the law would take its course; he would exaggerate the story in order to make money out of it.Note that exaggeration is a tool applied to an actual situation, to magnify it.If the actual is not there, exaggeration cannot stand on its own.
