I did not understand what the project was about and its implimentation until reading now here that it actually started in 2009. Now I believe the President is doing what we should expect him to do, to act to correct and bring to justice what went wrong and the offenders.

It is only in Ghana where "the elite" who are well educated, will come out with an idea to plant in the dry season because that is what they were taught when they acquire their farming degrees on the planet Jupiter.
When people allow foolishness, stupidities and crass idiocy to lead them, that is the result they get. There is no excuse for such reckless and foolish behavior on the part of those who led the aforementioned projects. They should be made to hold a press conference and face the general public to answer questions as to who told them to plant trees in the dry season.
NDC officials will by all means, blame NPP for causing such a gargantuan mess. They will tell Ghanaians that NPP pushed them to act that stupid. Yes, they are without blemish.

What influenced the dishing out of the monies to ACI to undertake a supposed guinea fowl project and a tree planting exercise, which on second thought, gov't is admitting was a fiasco and a ruse to rip off the state in a dubious deal to siphon funds from the national kitty?
What are the consequences for this corrupt deal for gov't and ACI, in the wanton and wasteful dissipation of taxpayer funds in this obviously create, loot and share venture?
What again happens to the funds that have found it's way into the proverbial black hole?
These and other questions as well as remedial actions and answers including legal and punitive are waiting anxiously to be answered by the gov't, and in view of these revelations, is the AG's office, EOCO and BNI, going to wait to institute the necessary actions to bring the culprits to book, at the prompting of John Mahama?
It is very clear that, this recklessly corrupt and thieving NDC gov't is the number one singular bane to our socio-economic development as a nation and need to be kicked out of office in 2016, for Ghana to truly progress. At this this rate of stinking and rotten financial malfeasance, looting, plundering and pillaging of the national kitty and assets, Ghana is going nowhere under this NDC gov't led by John Mahama and Amissah Arthur.

Today we are being told the contract has been abrogated.
I challenge our patriotic journalist not to let this issue die off without proper accountability.
All those who defended th rot must be made to answer. Enough of dust throwing into our eyes.
And my simple advise to the president is that abrogating the contract is only the first step. We are waiting and this time not patiently to see retrieval of the monies with interest and prosecution of any person found to have played a role in the decision to plant trees in a savanna zone in the dry season.

You just terminated the contracts; what about our money stolen in the process? What about the fraudulent contracts signed between the parties to rape us financially? Is it not a crime to rob the nation through a fraudulent contracts? Is it not a crime to get paid by the government for no work done or shoddy work done? Why are we harassing Wayomi in court then? Are we practising selective justice? Is it because Wayomi is not from the north? Is it because the fraudulent payments were kicked back to ndc, mahamah and the mahama 2012 campaign no action is prefered against them?
We shall get our money back and prosecute at the same time no matter how long it takes. Ghana has become a nation of thieves, jokers, looters, hypocrites, sycophans and liars. We need to think twice if we think we can steal, corrupt, lie, joke, create, loot and share our way to prosperity as a nation with no real work done, we should think twice. Shame

Why don't we concentrate on improving the existing livelihood of the people instead of re-inventing the wheel. We couldn't even sustain the poultry industry to the extent that we are importing frozen chickens from abroad.
Lets concentrate on improving on what is already there instead of trying to build castles in the sky.

did not have the good sense to do business research before putting their plans into action. For example, is there a demand on the glocal market, like selling the guinea fowls to China or Indonesia. Or which trees will grow in dry areas? And is there a market for the products Asongtaba is going to sell ?
Not much initial research was done before investing our hard earned Cedis into SADA & GYEEDA.

What did Ghana get out of the project and how much money was spent?
Government sank 48 million cedis into the two projects but with little to show for. NDC with the blessing of Mahama put that money aside for the next campaign.
