Democracy without education is meaningless & won't progress. It appears education is not a priority in hopeless Ghana. No wonder we're at a standstill.

All the claims by this government about the UNIVERSITY seem to turn commonsense upside down.
Why did they campaign against NPP's free SHS education for ALL, claiming to first seeking 'quality' school blocks?

The irony about preschool education and good citizenship is that most of those who break laws and regulations with impunity are graduates from these preschools.
Look at the incident on the Weija Dam last year when pupils were climbing over the security fence there to go to school. I have not been to preschool, but at that age I will tell anyone and even my parents that climbing that fence is uncivil and also break rules and regulation, it also contradict the purpose for which the fence was made.
I hear today that U.S. has build a university in North Korea to tech their future leaders civil behaviour. I am of the view that one of the civil behaviours is not to agitate people to go to war against each other. Another aspect of civil behaviour is for governments and people not to use arms to resolve both personal and political issues. The most form of civil behaviour is not to allot to yourself the rule of world policeman and a bully. How can a nation that imposes her system on others through covert and overt means said to be civilized.
The former U.S. President, Thomas Jefferson was a racist and I heard on the BBC today somebody comparing democracy to the statute of the man who implemented racial segregation to the core.
The U.S. is currently through its Millennium Challenge Corporation, U.S. state institution if forcing Ghana on how she should produce electricity, who is to produce it and how it should be priced. This is the country that deprived us of the means of producing electricity from cheap means of nuclear power. You hear that the emphasis is on crude oil and gas generators when a U.S. ally like South Korea produce 75 per cent of her electricity from nuclear power generators. I am of the view that if one country has the right to detect to another then the U.S. should not have fought for her independence from Britain and should have allowed the f Queen to detect to it every day.
The U.S. and her policies are the real sources of instability, insecurity, destabilization, arm conflicts and the socioeconomic difficulties that they create.
The U.S. has not brought peace to anywhere it military or even under some ruse of peace got involved.

When a U.S. citizen was sentenced for murdering together with another person a British citizen in Italy in 2007 a commentator from the U.S. said that Italian courts are undemocratic, thus are unable to discharge a person charged with murder. He said if it were to be in the U.S. she would have been freed. Then he dropped the bombshell that with the same perfect judicial system most African-Americans are in prison because they are poor. So invariably the U.S. judicial system declares a person not guilty depending on his or her wealth. Thus the 99% of U.S. citizens who claim that they are poor can not have justice in that system. I wrote that two of my daughters did not had preschool education but are very good students academically and socially.
The name is preschool, thus by the name itself it is not regarded as schooling. I wrote about how a pupil who was denied admission to primary class one because he was not a graduate of any preschool performed better in school when a pedagogic who was against such absurd arrangement went and established a school in which he admitted those unfortunate pupil.

Is it only the English language that has philosophy and critical thinking in it? An adult should have enough imagination to sit and tell children stories that would make their minds wander, and become naturally creative. Instead they are breeding Street Hawkers to export to Accra! All across the nation, Cape Coast, Kumasi, Tamale, Akosombo, Ho, it is happening..churning our market women, tro-tro and taxi drivers, house maids...don't blame government alone, but our irresponsible culture.

It is reconditioning. Eat fast food for a month and you may lose your appetite for native food. Our people used to teach morality through storytelling, and technology through learning on the job. Storytelling is teaching Literature. Farming is Agricultural Science. Farming with a hoe is using Technology. Farmers forming cooperatives is Economics. Let us not become too dependent on others, because we are admitting that God has made us inferior. On the hand, it is possible to pray to God for wisdom.
