The regional police commander must be made to face the justice of the land for such barbaric and callous act by his boys. Human beings are certainly not guinea fowls to be shot at.

Since when did it became a constitutional mandate for the police to shoot and kill or aim to shoot on demonstrators with life ammunition?

Is the purpose of the police to safe lives and properties or to destroy them as recently being demonstrated?

The police commission must investigation into this despicable tragedy and make sure all the drunken police officers who went shooting at ordinary drivers held accountable by their callous deeds.

Ghana's security is gradually drifting to the stinky Korle Lagoon and the sleeping Mahama government must wake up to the demanding security calling.

Lets the police be remembered that Ghana certainly can not be like a segregated apartheid South Africa.

Nhyira FM, which must have gotten wind of the demonstration, had a reporting crew at the scene, who was giving a live account of what was going on. She indicated the police were late arriving at the scene; and that no amoung of friendly persuation from them could get these hooligans to move their vehicles to allow free flow of traffic. Even Commuters who had found an alternate connection to Kumasi via some back roads at Duase New Site were were forcibly prevented from using that route. Let`s face it,your right to protest against govt action or inaction, does not include preventing others,who are not part of your action, from going about their otherwise lawful activities. We must stop this nonsense of supporting anarchy and blatant disregard for law and order!
The NPP MP for Kwabre East,Hon. Kofi Frimpong, granted an interview to Adom FM News, in which he indicated he had urged these troublemakers [drivers] not to proceed with the demo because he was aware a new contractor was set to begin work on the road in a matter of days. But were these agent provocateurs interested in his assurances?
Those who have been injured deserve what they have gotten, and the ring leaders who are in custody should be dealt with appropriately according to the law!

It is sad after reading most comments pertaining to the aledged police shooting of unarmed demonstrators who were rightfully protesting about bad roads in their area. The police must be condermed unequivocally for comitting such barbaric crime, before we even start to ask the remote cause of the demonstration.
The time has come where the people must let the government irrespective of whichever party that's in power that we have had enough of bad roads and shoddy road works.
Bad roads affect not only drivers but all road users. What these bold demonstrators have done is not for themselves only but for every Ghanaian who drives and passengers who die in accidents as a result of the deplorable conditions of our roads.
Somewhere along the line the message must be made to reach our corrupt politicians and that's exactly what these brave drivers have done.
The government must not deceive itself that guns and bullet can intimidate the just demonstration of the people. They look at Syria and Ukraine, where bullets have not been able to quench the people's quest for freedom and functioning government .
Those people condemning the divers are the enemies of the people who seek to preserve the status quo. For ghanaian's to continually drive on death roads! SHAME ON ALL YOU WITH SHALLOW MINDS CONDEMNING THE DRIVERS.
