  Money is very necessary for survival even if we cannot take it with us to the afterlife. The politicians are grabbing more than their fair share to the extent of sinking the economy, so why not the Doctors who woke longer ours than the greedy politicians? Elsewhere, Doctors earn more than Presidents because they work longer and save lives, including the lives of Presidents, their appointees and Parliamentarians. Over here in Ghana it is the opposit. The greedy and incompetent politicians earn far more than the life saving Doctors and even steal what should go into paying the emoluments of the poor Doctors.

  Let the private investors handle their big salaries and allowances.By the cost of their training,they cannot just sacrifice.They have to recover the cost of their training.It is stressful to practice medicine.

The private hospitals will then resort to cash and carry and who suffers. The government has to get his priorities right and be honest to teh people. To much propaganda resulting in high expectations. People are starting to see the light. For how long can they continue to lie their way out. Prudent and honest management is the key. They have lied so much that they cannot get people to go along anymore, NHIS has failed.

  I am really tired of Ghanaian doctors always blackmailing the government with one strike after another. I now appreciate why America and other western nations don't want their governments to build hospitals and other health care facilities.
  
  I think in order to get away from all these tantrums coming from the health care professionals the government should privatize the hospitals and let doctors and nurses to be share holders in the hospitals.
  
  I think if they become shareholders they will understand that anytime they are on strike they are hurting their own business interests. Enough is enough.

Groups strike for a whole month and go to the bank to collect money for work they have not done and they feel justified? If they must know, in developed countries people do not strike for long because they forfeit their salaries for the striking periods.

  Mahama must start sacking these political doctors. If they like they can go and set up their own clinics and hospitals and see if they can make the monies they are callously asking for. In fact, some of them are not even good ...

In fact, some of them are not even good doctors and for that matter cannot get clients/patients except those who want to commit abortions!!!
