If it is true that all expenditure request to parliament are quoted in dollars, then, for the government to turn around to initimidate Ghanaians to stop making quotes on sales in dollars is the highest form of administrative stupidity ever to be minted from the stinky halls of this government.

I knew the current administration has some isolated fools, but I did not know they could also be excessively wicked!!!!

Now you folks should plan on industrialization to produce what we need, then we can export and earn some foreign exchange. Another measure is the introduction of the Chinese Yuan in Ghana. Since a lot of imports also come from China, you don't need dollars when going to China. Let's see what's going to happen in the next few months. Remember it's against the law in the USA to travel outside with more than $10,000. You will be arrested at the airport if you are caught.

When it comes to industrialization,
Our Technology does not have the status and strength or the business climate that encourages staff and faculty.
Our technology does not produce student to study and generate technological ventures.
Take a look at;
other recent improvements in the Ghanaian economy to attract foreign
investment include:
- Bank deregulization
- The Ghanaian central bank introduced a floating exchange system
which allows foreign investors to hold foreign exchange with whichever
bank they want. This allows investors to more easily extract their
profits from the country.(This is STEALING).
- The recent creation of the Ghana investment Promotion Center which
strives to assure foreign investors that Ghana is an environment in
which investors will: Receive profit repatriation, that property will not
be repatriated, and foreign exchange can be freely moved.
- The government recently allowed foreign investors to explore and
exploit the country's geological resources. This is of particular interest, the question is "are we still taking 10% as in everything Ghana government negotiate with these wicked so called investors? Of course.

You 've all missed the point!!! The solution to the free fall of the cedi is actually very simple. Let's just dump it and adopt the US dollar as Ghana's official medium of xchange!!!! Finito.

My posting was to Dr Kofi Whampah as the Governor of BOG. These high official only hold degrees without the practical experience needed to properly and professionally run a state institution like a Cental Bank.

I personally questioned the ractional of BOG allowing foreign curencies like the Dollar, Sterling, Euros the Yan to be traded and exchanged on Ghanaian markets. These officials woefully failed to take immediate action to arrest the situation and now look what has happened tto the CEDI?

The Economy policy team of Ghana are useless.Let us put politics aside and apply common sense here. The cedis is falling because of government overspending and lack of confidence in the Ghanaian Economy. Businesses are stagnant and people are not spending or shopping. In such a situation what should the Bank of Ghana do. Iam shocked to learn that BOG has increased interest rates from 16% to 18%.This is the time to introduce austerity measures to curb government spending and cut interest rates with an aim to encourage spending and kick start the economy via reviving business facing challenges. They sit at high places with huge titles enjoying fat salaries and allowances but have no clue how to properly manage the Economy.I feel sick whenever I hear things like that.

Someone is buying the foreign currency on the local market, is it being done legally?
