If the economy gets on track will everybody leave the country for only NDC people to enjoy? certainly not. The country will be better for every Ghanaian and unborn Ghanaian. The NDC should lead the critics so that the government can sit up for their own good. Not the other way around and you still have the decency to insult someone. There are many, many capable hands in the NDC because the NDC is a big party. It behoves Asiedu Nketiah to quietly organize an internal revolution, a revolution that will not dump power on the Vice solely for being the vice, and give power to a very competent and capable hand. Goosie Tannoh, Ekow, Bagbin, Kumbour and even Mumuni are all capable. Mahama never aspired to be president, and it is showing. We can support him all we want but we can't turn such passive veep into a good prez, same thing with Atta-Mills.

Readers who are tuned internationally would recall that when the US Economy was in a desperate situation President Obama called a meeting of CEOS and reputable entrepreneurs as to turn things around. Unfortunately as we have politicized every topic of social-economic and development in Ghana we are caught in a web of not reaching out beyond a political party which is in power. Mr. Hayford as Ghanaian gives his position on the economy and we see readers on this forum criticizing him. The cedi in my view would continue to decline for the following reasons:
1. The deficit with no mechanism to address it.
2. The high rate of imports as against exports which exacerbates the deficits
3. Trading in US dollars, which I recall doing to purchase a property in Ghana. Including the Government which quotes prices in US dollars
4. The lack of focus on agriculture and over focusing on the service sector
5. Waste and duplication of functions in Government and line ministries
6. Corruption and naked stealing. An example a purchased a property and need to register it overall I paid about 14,000 new Ghana cedis, when I finally received the title deeds I check the receipts to verify how much went to the revenue of the Government and to my surprise only about 6,000 new Ghana cedis were genuinely recorded with receipts.

Fellow Ghanaians if we don't de-politicized issues for national development we would continue to hamper our own development and that of our children and grand children.

I have a dream that one day, a forward looking, on corrupt and committed independent candidate would lead our country and form a cabinet of committed Ghanaians to move us forward. It would be a call for democratic action and not a bogus revolution, it would be a call to follow the development plans are leaders at independence had laid out for our motherland, it would be a call for the poor boy and girl who studies under the tree to have the hope and dreams to aspire to be what he/she wants to achieve in life. It would be a call when we appreciate highways running from the south to the north and the east to the west and not cheap flyovers which we now characterize as a symbol of "development"
