With women forming more than 50% of the population, I am all for women taking their rightful place in our politics and economy, just as men do. But it is not like any woman or man will do. This Anita DeSooso is just an embarrassment to our women folk. She is all looks and antics, nothing worthwhile between the ears. And what exactly is she supposed to do at NADMO?

This woman is not different from Akua Donkor, the only difference being she Anita's ability to read and write. That is where it ends, the content and context of her contributions to national discourse is net zero. Just pure crap, which makes me wonder what she does behind the scenes to earn her retinue at the NDC. Anita is just soo so pig with a lipstick.

Thanks Sarpong for the article. That woman needs Jesus and brain surgery. In what other country will one attribute free falling national currency to dwarfs and voodoo? And she is supposed to sit at NADMO and contribute to policy development, discussion and implementation? Awurade Nyakopong what did we do against you to be subjected to this. Good morning SARPONG (if you are already up). It appears from what is reported by the Ghanaian media that Anita may not be alone. For example, when Duncan Williams is commanding the cedi not to fall or to rise and it's has just been reported that James Kwabena Bomfeh, former National Youth Organiser believes that the Mahama government is under spiritual curse. Often I read about people in Ghana seeking instant wealth by going juju men and Alhaji to make them rich. In other words such beliefs are widespread in Ghana.

But as Diprof said in his/her comment, if such powers exist in Ghana why are there no billionaires in Ghana and why can't the powers of same dwarfs be relied upon to make Ghana rich as Anita believes?

I just read a report on the meeting between President Mahama and the UK International Development Minister. The first thing that came to my mind when I read the report was that, I hope Anita Desooso was not there. This is because as the National Women's Organiser of the NDC, she could play a key role on national policy regrading women and again, as Deputy head of NADMO she has a leading role to play when it comes to donor agencies such as UK's Department for International Development. Thank God from the list attendees, she was not present. It seems the Minister for Gender was not even there despite the UK minister's interest in discussing development issues around gender equality.

Oh! I saw the late Ghanaian military Head of State, General Kutu Acheampong on BBC 1 television news last night when the late Shirley Temple presented her letters of credence to him at the Castle as the then new US Ambassador to Ghana.

People like Anita is making Ghana a laughing stock among foreign embassies and high commissions in Ghana.

I listened to the context within which Amaliba and Anita Desoso made their comments on the current discussions on the falling value of the cedi and I was amazed how NPP and their allies in the media misrepresented these two individuals and made them the target of public ridicule

Amaliba made his comment on Newsfile when the value of the cedi came under discussion. He said and I quote " The tall buildings you see in the city are all adding to the pressure on the currency as every material being used, including nails is imported". Joyfm true to form, took this statement out of context and created a ridiculous headline to suggest that tall buildings in Accra was/is the cause of the cedi's depreciation according to Amaliba. How can we be so petty minded in our national discourse in such away to discredit individuals we don't like?

Anita on another radio discussion chastised the Bank of Ghana for looking away whilst some so-called magicians were given airtime on national TV, to conjure thousands of dollars without asking the questions for example, the source of those dollars. She went on to say that in any serious country, the security services would be on their tail to know how they came by those monies. All these illegal activities she suggested put pressure on the local currencies

NPP in their usual evil fashion created a headline which took her comment out of context to create the current bruhaha and comedy.
