Continue in your hole and continue to borrow from the rest of the world to spend on unproductive things. Ghana is spending close to a million dollars a day refrigerating dead bodies that have been lying in mortuaries for months. Now,you need to understand that for every litre of petrol or kerosine burned in Ghana, somebody or some entity have to earn the equivalent in dollars$ to pay for it. Petrol is priced in US dollars. You can abuse Esi but she is smart and confident, not you!

Ghanaians are so cheap, so void with confidence and so sparse with pride, that someone being a journalist for western propaganda mouth piece, is seen as a national hero!
He didn't invent anything, and as a matter of fact, when he was offered a position to be the spokesperson for our president, he rubbished the offer. By rubbishing an offer from the highest seat in the country, he implicitly rubbished the country. Yet the same Ghanaians are now singing his praises!
He had a popular programme on the radio and he made a name for himself in GH; congrats. Once he got to the BBC, like any confused Ghanaian, slanted his nose towards his own country. Only lord knows the racism and the demeaning treatment he endured to keep his employment. Yet it was all justified because after all, "look how far he came"!
so this guy is no national hero. His accomplishments were all for himself and his family so leave his friends and family to deal with it.
The hero journalist of GH is Anas!!!!
I am done.

BTW Komla might not be interested in political appointment because he did not want to be in "man bites dog" "pull him down" business that has pemeated our political discourse.

I hope the family is paying rent for the service at the State House. If they are not paying rent, then when any journalist dies, there will be a serviced for the person at the State House.

The government has turn his funeral into a de-facto state funeral. I am i n my second year specializing in emergency medicine at a teaching hospital, funded entirely through our own resources, should my family request state support should I die overnight? I love Komla, but for the sake of sanity, let him go to rest.We are setting a bad precedence.

A mere journalist yet he touched the whole world in his short life!. He has done his part, try and do your part wherever you are so the world can talk about it also. Gee you are pathetic!

So the world can talk about me after I die when I am not able to hear?
Why not talk about me when I am alive?
If Komla deserved a state honour, he should have been given that honour before he died.

Why the forecourt of the statehouse? Just to sweten the tea a little bit. Advocates were unable to get him a state burial and that is the closest they could get for him. Why the country has become so obsessed with an ordinary man's funeral is beyond me. We are being forced to accept something that does not exist in reality. He lived a successful life and a career but not as a national hero as these fools want us to believe. Just bury him and let's move on
