GHANAIANS SHOULD HAVE ENJOYED SOME ECONOMIC PROGRESS AT THIS TIME IN OUR HISTORY. THE ECONOMY IS COLLAPSING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS SO CORRUPT. TO RESCUE THE SITUATION, THE POOR IS NOW BEING FORCED TO PAY. THIS IS INJUSTICE. THIS IS NOT THE GHANA KUFFOUR HANDED OVER TO NDC, HE EVEN ADDED FRESH CRUDE OIL WELLS. NPP TRANFORMED GHANA TO A MIDDLE INCOME ECONOMY WITH LIMITED RESOURCES BUT GOOD POLICIES. NDC IS WOEFULLY REVERSING THESE NPP ACHIEVEMENTS. GHANA'S CURRENT SITUATION IS VERY DISTURBING. WHEN THE HISTORY IS TOLD, IT WILL BE SAID THAT GHANAIANS WERE OFFERED FREE SECONDARY EDUCATION, IMPROVED UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND AN EGALITARIAN SOCIETY BUT 50% SAID NO THANK YOU. THEY PREFERRED ECONOMIC "WOYOMISATION" , PHANTOM DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, PHILANDERERS FOR LEADERS, MACHIAVELLIAN DISRESPECTFUL CORRUPT LOUTS AND A VISIONLESS EVIL GOVERNMENT. I AM SO PROUD I VOTED FOR NANA AKUFFO ADDO.

Unfortunately i am always right , we have a govt that has introduced a system of govt which encourages people not to work rather they all perch on strategic posts or positions like vultures stealing , being bribed and facilitation corruption . our minister of foreign affairs Hannah tetteh ( who by the way isn't a fanti but somehow is an mp for a fanti area) will rather sell the takoradi harbor than do her job of sending condolences to the family of Shirley temple. you step out of your house today and try and do anything its always some non Akan trying to fleece you or shake you down for money and that's the gospel truth . if you are treated fair very likely it was an Akan you dealt with . this is the sorry state of affairs the curse pepeni has brought unto us . the country can never develop as long as such selfish characters are in charge so we wait for the revolution and war instead . long live the republic of Akan

We are a people who don`t plan for now,or plan ahead,everything in Ghana is done on try and error.
Institutions are not allowe to work,everything are in the hands of the President,even a thief who knows somebody in a higher position,will be released when arrested by the Police.
And most of our Governments have no foresight,Atta Mill`s Government abandoned the Housing project Kuffour and his Government started,as if it is the personal property of Kuffour.
Untill we stop this nonsense of political vendita,we shall continue throwing money out of the window.Now Kuffours housing project has become uncompleted houses,but Ghanaians must pay for it.

Individuals after sweating to put up houses for themselves, an like TDC would just get up one day pulling down that ordinary Ghanaians have put up at Adjei Kojo, Sraha East. What are these institutions like ISODEC/ICESCR doing when faceless people in that clandestine institution like TDC has taken the laws of Ghana to themselves to pull down these beautiful houses. Ghanaians have become refugees in their own country. Just take a look at the people whose houses have been pulled down and where they are sleeping and who will come to their aid in this crucial time. Take a look at an MP in the person of Samsom Ahi who has the gut to say unpalatable things about victims of Sraha East, Adjei Kojo demolition. Such a person God will surely punish him, morever it was this very people of Adjei Kojo who voted for the NDC to come to power and he is direct beneficiary of the legacy of NDC. I wish Prof. Mills were to be alive to these days.

Stop the presses and think for a minute Ghana. Under J.J. Rawlings's leadership and with the support of the NPP, unbeknown to them, Ghana's governments slowly dismantled all state housing ownership and management of affordable housing in Ghana. It was the hatred of Nkrumah and his CPP that drove the NPP into supporting J.J. Rawlings plan tabled in parliament to foolishly rid Ghana of any state owned and managed housing.
At the time every fool in parliament and in administrative post lauded the rather short sightedness of their plan. If Ghanaians of goodwill will cast aside their tribal affiliations to political parties and look back, they will reminisce about Accra when the government owned and managing estates at Kanda, Labone, Kaneshie, Dansomah and others. Those facilities and sites had clean playground areas for residence children and teens, gutters and drainage systems that were cleaned out each day of the week to allow the flow of drainage water. The governments that followed foolishly did not know how to improve effectiveness, productivity of workers and thus decided to get rid of public works staff and eventually all the facilities they managed.
What continues to happen in Ghana is our hatred for people based on tribal loyalty and political party affiliation which also has the tendency to drive us into dismantling or underfunding programs and projects by others in spite of successful history. Governments in every civilized developed nation that Ghana's leaders in the NPP and or NDC purport to model their leadership after do have government subsidized housing but in Ghana we chose to allow political appointees and others with connection to political power to take ownership of government structures to become privately owned units .
Until we get to a time in Ghana where right is always right and evil is as evil as we know them to be we will slowly but surely destroy ourselves, allow thieves masquerading as men of God use their forked tongues to preach to us as they collect money. There is no denying by anyone in Ghana that every administration has failed Ghana but listening to the NPP and NDC zealots talk an untainted baby easily think there are no standards of right and wrong in Ghana.

In between your Nkrumah and his crooks on one hand, and Kutu, a victim of Rawlings's cowardice and his cohorts on the other, there was a progressive party led by an intelligent and progressive thinker/human being called Prof. Kofi Abrefa Busia who was providing massive low cost houses for all, both in the rural areas and in the cities. How dare you leave Kofi out of your praises, and make it seem like Kofi is in the same group of low achievers like Rawlings, Atta-Mills, and Mahama. As recently as 2000 to 2008 there was also a leader called Kuffour who did his best to make sure that people have places to sleep. And you can not commend them for their contributions to housing solution? Pathetic!

A looming bubble in our housing sector is the INDEXATION of mortgage loans to the USD.It is the most important reason home prices have skyrocketed in recent times.Normally,the price of a house in a location is determined by the supply and demand for homes in the vicinity.
In Ghana,it is rather the indexation of mortgage loans to the USD which is pushing up home prices.I envisage a situation where the mortgages become so high that they cannot be paid,and the mortgage companies foreclosing on the homes to start a recession which will in turn affect other sectors like it did happen in the USA.
Now is the time to find a better way of financing affordable homes for Ghana.
