we said last year that there is no way mahama and his team could do anything for the country except rob us blind . today we repeat the same , he has no policies except propaganda bullshit and lies. we see somehow that muslims all over the continent of africa are trying to seize power or cause economic destruction ( see CAR and Angola). an uprising of the people is what will cleanse this foolishness . we have everything we need to develop but the true enemy of progress is our own govt saturated with corruption, of non action no good decision just greed. Patience is not a virtue but cowardice if one is faced by such injustices , it is up to our generation to clean up this mess in war so we dont burden future generations with our shit. Unfortunately i am always right , we have a govt that has introduced a system of govt which encourages people not to work rather they all perch on strategic posts or positions like vultures stealing , being bribed and facilitation corruption . our minister of foreign affairs Hannah tetteh ( who by the way isn't a fanti but somehow is an mp for a fanti area) will rather sell the takoradi harbor than do her job of sending condolences to the family of Shirley temple. you step out of your house today and try and do anything its always some non Akan trying to fleece you or shake you down for money and that's the gospel truth . if you are treated fair very likely it was an Akan you dealt with . this is the sorry state of affairs the curse pepeni has brought unto us . the country can never develop as long as such selfish characters are in charge so we wait for the revolution and war instead . long live the republic of Akan

Why do some of us love the politics of equalization? If that is the case then it doesn't make sense for us to vote for another government to come and make things worse.

Be realistic and accept the fact that the huge number of workers at the Flagstaff House is inexcusable. If Ayariga says they do not cost the nation, the question that comes to mind is, are they working for free?

Remember what NDC before winning the election that they will do things better than Kufuor and is this part of that better things they promised? Ghana is sinking and you know that. Here is a government that is blaming the value of the cedi on unseen deities and some people in Ghana seems comfortable with it.

Let's be compassionate and stop the hypocrisy. To accuse the government for providing employment to 678 Ghanaians, -- who would otherwise be unemployed -- with employment, is a very callous thing to say.

Ours is not an advanced economy.
It is therefore risky for our people to be thinking of themselves as such.

The danger of this kind of mentality is that: it would hinder us from being compassionate to the less fortunate. Nobody in Ghana is insulated from hardship, -- given the kind of economy we have.

Until we are able to have a viable private sector that can grow jobs; government has the responsibility of absorbing the unemployed.

Let's stop the callousness, and start showing some compassion to the needs of our fellow countrymen. We shall thrive together, or sink together.

May Lord Almighty continue to bless our beloved Great Ghana:

We have staff at the presidency with no defined job functions and who add no value to the governing process but yet live in government provided homes, have multiple vehicles and drivers, travel the world at government expense. Two of such leaches are Michael Obuobi and Baffoe Bonnie who were unemployable in the United States but are now living large and taking trips to Brazil ad infinitum. But yet we have no money for medicine or clean water. The Presidency can function with a fourth of the staff they currently have because most of the staff are just on the payroll and bleeding the national coffers. What a hopeless president and government we have !

As has been the history of Ghana's parliament, the office of Ghana's presidency run rough shots over parliament and the nation; the result has been clear and unequivocal. Rawlings was able to get parliament to grandfather in the constitution all his evil deeds and parliament obliged. He, Rawlings, used his advisors to outsmart a dumb group called members of parliament.
Kufour came into office and did twice as much display of deviant behavior. He single handedly ensured the sale of everything Ghana owned with the blessing of his advisors and even dumber members of parliament. He, Kufour, stopped an ongoing public bid process in place and in progress (refer to the stadia renovation project) and went to China to get his own construction vendor. Where in the civilized world would a president have that kind of power to override a legislative authority covering procurement and budget?
Please do not cry for Ghana Kwaku Agyemang Kwarteng for it was the incompetence and the “steal some and let me steal some too” mentality of all you parliamentarians that has brought Ghana's economy to its knees. When parliament get around to get its own house in order it can then criticize the office of the presidency.
Where did the office of the president get the authority to have as many advisors without limitations? From the constituted body of dumb members of parliament who were only interested in knowing who the president has for advisors instead of placing a finite number limits on presidential staffing. Yes parliament needed something excuse to attack a sitting president and they knew it could come from an unrestrained spending and they gave it away to the executive branch. Why cry over spilt milk? Why should Ghanaians give a rats about the foolishness of the NDC when the NPP did show us all how much damage they can inflict upon Ghana with only 8 years in office? After all while NPP members prefer to steal to enrich themselves at the tribal level with a knack for destroying all footprints and documented evidence the NDC chooses to steal and spend in plain sight knowing the NPP crowd does not have a moral high ground to preach to anyone.

Why don't you blame the Ndc majority lead Parliament to enact laws to limit the number of. Presidential staffers and talking about Npp eight years rule you think was the cause of all the problems in the country.

If you have any brains in your empty head to make informed analysis, you would have realized that, apart from Nkrumah's rule, the best years of Ghana's 56 years came during Npp rule and if you are a man, list the 13 years of Ndc administration and I will list that of Npp 8 years and it will not even be a contest. Npp achieved 100 times in 8 years what Ndc haa done in 13 years.

We'll like to bring PEACE FM'S attention to the situation that is going on in their sister Radio station at GhanaToday HOLLAND. It has been cleared to the listeners of Ghana Today radio , how the presenter Kofi nyarko was rude to the sympathizers of the ruling NDC Gov, on his "wosukabi" program. Kofi nyarko did not end his rudeness, but Kofi organized members from his npp party, especially those who were akan's, they were carefully selected to come on air to dehumanized the rest of the tribes here in Ghana on his radio show. We the listeners here in Ghana can confirm to the PEACE FM management that the home grown npp terrorist who is now residing in Holland kofi nyarko, has done the same thing he was used to on Monday the 10th of February, when one of his regular caller named Joe Canada ,the sympathizer of the ruling NDC Gov. We heard this gentleman who called the program to refute to the comments one of the caller who is also a sympathizer of the opposition party the npp. The npp man called the program and run insults and accused the people from the Volta Region for the hardships the country is currently facing, he said according to him, he didn't understand why the Ewe's should elect somebody like Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa as their MP , he asked? He went on by saying the Ewe's gives their Votes to anything in front of them, even animals. This uncalled-for words goes down well for the host Kofi nyarko which he congratulated the frustrated npp caller. When the sympathizer to the ruling NDC Gov, Joe Canada, also call the program to refute the unfortunate comments from the npp caller, kofi nyarko who can't hide his affection support for the opposition p npp party ,quickly jumped to defend the npp caller. Kofi nyarko gave his strong warning to the NDC caller not to dare call his radio programs to contribute again, he went on to said , he won't even pick up his call anytime he sees he Joe Canada's number on his phone. These ugly situations compelled some of us to send a strong warning to PEACE FM management, to urgently arrest this situation before its get out of hands. We believed kofi nyarko is trying hard to sow a tribal seeds between us here in GHANA and abroad. The management of PEACE FM must know that kofi nyarko who was placed on npp pay roll to tarnish the ruling NDC Gov, and his division tactics by playing a tribal cards is dangerous to our society and our young democracy here in GHANA We are looking forward to see the management of PEACE FM to call un-erected host kofi nyarko to immediate order before we hit the street of Accra

Or he is afraid the reduction will affect him. Obuasi mine is collapsed and the population will reduce drastically. We shall see how that is going to affect the number of MPs in Obuasi and Adansi in general.

While 678 staffers are clearly FAR TOO MANY, they may or may not have any effect on the Cedi. If taxes have been levied to support them then there is no effect on the Cedi. (One should, however, question the levying authorities.) However, if the government is simply "printing currency" to pay staff members, then the Cedi is being sunk.
