Just like McManu, Afoko was jailed in the UK for drug offences. However, in the case of McManu the NPP ignored his conviction and made him the National Chairman. But because Afoko is a northerner they decided to expose his secrets in order to disqualify him.

But the northerners should blame themselves for the humiliation meted out to them. The southerners don't think northerners belong to the NPP, they only want their votes. So why are the northerners forcing themselves on a group that looks down on them - just for the left-overs? Which northerner gets 1% of what their southern counterparts get.

Afoko should have learned from Aliu.

The Man has a chance to clear his name and if it's indeed true that he was once convicted and the constitution of their party doesn't allow such people to contest why should he be allowed just to appease northerners? .
In case you don’t know Akuffo Addo was a strong candidate even when he contested against Kufour so how do you expect Aliu to have been made their candidate just because he had been vice for 8 yrs. We need to discuss issues devoid of tribal sentiments if we want to move forward as a Nation.
If the elections were to be at the constituency level you will see how many of the delegates in the north will vote for Afoko if he contests

And as a point of correction, Haruna(Haruun/Haroun) is not a Muslim name but an Arabic name. You could be called Stephen Addai and still be a Muslim.

What ever they say i know its the opposite , if they say look right you better quickly closely observe whats happening on the left. the say the economy is grown then you must know its a disaster , they say they are working on fixing the economy , know for sure they are only stealing , infighting now they have marginalized all influence of the Akans the pepeni and ayigbe crminals are now looking to eliminate each other , they say they have found new investors know they have discovered new ways to exploit and channel our money away. they say our women are short and ugly but look at the stinking rats and vulture they can women in their tribes and you you will know ours are the most beautiful in the world . they say they want cooperation but they are only looking to rubbish or steal good projects . they say they want the well-being of the ordinary man but in reality they only want to line their pockets with money and push the Akan further into poverty . they say they want an all inclusive govt but know they just want cement northern and ayigbe domination with their slave tribes like the Gas and some foolish brainwashed brongs , ashantis , fantis assisting them. they say they are evaluating ministers and other appointees but it is now a battle between the ayigbe and the pepeni to reduce the number of ayigbe since the Akans are all already irrelevant in their govt although we are the majority in this land . everywhere you go you find pepeni vultures looking over the carcass of Ghana and tearing out the flesh of wealth for their own greedy selfish selves . they are comfortable now as the critical mass of the people still think things will get better little do they know its beyond repair and can only be remedied with an organized uprising of the Akan. the npp seems to be cleaning house and thanks to ken agyapong most likely true fighters will emerge who will not throw in the towel like nana addo did just before the true battle starts due to cowardice. yes we are ready and will never surrender to these thieves and criminals , long live the republic of Akan

Haroun,is Arabic the equivalent in English is Aaron, Musah is Moses, Yacuub or Yakubu as my people would say, is Jacob, Issah is Jesus, Abraham = Ibrahim, Gibrine = Gabriel all these names were in use before the advent of Christianity and Islam.

It is generally believed in Islam (submission to the will of God/Allah) that all the prophets are Muslims, however you are aware that as Muslims, we abide by the teachings of the Qur'an and the Hadiths, but you must also be aware that these same names are in the Torah(for Judaism) Ingeel/Ingil(Bible/Christianity).

It is strange for you a Muslim not to know that The Prophet of Islam's(SAW)uncle Abu Jahir was not a Muslim, tried as the Prophet could to get him to convert by just saying Ashahadu Allah illaha.... , he refused till he passed on.

You do not need to be a rocket scientist to know that the Islamic religion started in Arabia, and so the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet (SAW) in Arabic. That does not make them Islamic names. The names are older than the religion. Tell me, Would you call Abu Jahir a Muslim?

There are many of them out there who are hardened criminals, more than Akofo yet they were all given positions under Kufour, except Kwabena Ahyapong. We know all of them. Why did Kufour refused to support his own vice president, who have honestly worked with him for 8 good years? There is no way the NPP can convience Ghanaians that, they are not a tribal party. With pronouncement from Akufo Addo and Ken Agyapong and those educated illiterates like Ahoofe and Parry Akurang and the rest, nobody needs to be told that this criminal tribal party hates none Akans. I urge all the northerners to think and think properly. That is why I have lots of respect for the Ewes. Wake up my people!

It's little wonder that there is all this brouhaha regarding Afoko's candidature as chairman of the NPP. A shrewd businessman, he has shown that he can be a force to be reckoned with; once the other constestants realize that he was making in-roads, a nameless group decided to file a petition against him, exposing him as an ex-convict unworthy of being the chairman of the NPP. And the committee takes that seriously! Northerners by now should be well aware of their place within the NPP; one needs not go further than president's Kuffour tenure as president. As "hewers of wood and drawers of water" for their southern counterparts, they are fronted to do the dirty jobs( Bawumia was the one to receive the punches of Tsikata during the NPP infamous suit at the SupremeCourt) buthave since been jettisoned when it comes time for place among equals. It's interesting to watch how things end with this charade of a vetting committeedominated by the Akan cabal.Whether Afoko is allowed to run or not, it has succeeded in creating doubts among delegates and sending enough cues that a northerner is unfit to be chairman of an NPP, period. Bawumia, Afoko, Ambrose Dery, Boniface Saddique all should wake up and know that, within the NPP, they as northerners will always be hewers of wood and drawers of water. I have known Afoko is an accomplished businessman and workaholic cut for turning things around but not, never in the NPP. He should learn from how the NPP dished the late Aliu and stopped insisting on becoming chairman. A word to a wise is in the north.

Using "patapaa" won't help his case in anyway. These are the reasons why people must strive to lead exemplary lives to avoid being dragged through such horrible stages in politics. Bribery during elections etc. are all prohibited by NPP and I hope Paul Afoko truly understands that. Let's hope that party leaders would gather the needed courage and wisdom to instill discipline in the party ahead of the 2016. Afoko & Co., shouldn't try to play any games with the vetting process---coming out clean before the elections will be a big plus for the NPP. Nobody or member is bigger than the great "OSONO" party!

Its a crime to fail members of a party when you know you cant win in an election and still toke the job. Jake did know NPP wasnt going to win because he knew he could have done better but didnt do it.

The Paul Afoko issue is a very simple matter, yet being made to look like a storm in a tea cup. What is the essence of vetting?. Vertting simply, is to ensure that a nominee, a candidate or a person wishing to occupy a position is screened to ensure that he or she is suitable and without blemish.
Infact,for a very long time, the concept of interviews have lived with us. Some secondary schools conducted interviews after the publication of Common Entrance Examination Results to offer admissions to students. Further, some work establishments, shortlist applicants and then conduc interviews to pick suitable applicants appointment.
In the fourth Republic, it is common knowledge that ministers and their deputies have always gone through vertting processes. Indeed at each occasion petitions are often submitted against certain persons. Those actions are right of those persons. Nobody can deny them that right in a democratic dispensation. In this case therefore, it is imperative for the vertting committee to investigate allegations to establish the thruth or otherwise of the petition. It would go totally wrong and unacceptable for to outright reject or dismiss the allegation as some people demand. The implications could be disastrously distasteful to the party as whole.
The most distasteful fact is that Paul Afoko is not and indeed, can never be bigger than NPP. That is the simple reason why he subjected himself to the vertting committee. That is the law of the Party he is seeking to lead.It is important for Paul and his ilk to know that what Paul is going through is a test case.
Paul and his ilk should exercise self-control to allow the committee to do it work. I have confidence in the vertting committee. They would never act arbitrary. They would indeed act with very good reasons.
Should the vertting committee take any action unacceptable to Paul Afoko, he has the undeniable right to appeals
for redress at the Party's appeals committee. He can even head to court if he so wish.
Party members may therefore remain calm for pease to prevail in the party.

Assuming he saels through the vetting,what makes him think Delegates will vote for him.So now,as they say, attack is the best defense,he is doing this tribal thing,then if he loses,it means i told you so.
But why do other tribes in Ghana,especailly in the NPP, want a preferencial treatment as the Akans? Ghana is for all Ghanaians,NPP is for all Ghanaians,take it or leave,nobody can change the NPP because people are calling it an Akan party.Those non Akans who join the party knows it isn`t true.
Lets discuss issues and stop the tribal discuss,no wonder Ghana is so backward.

We'll like to bring PEACE FM'S attention to the situation that is going on in their sister Radio station at GhanaToday HOLLAND. It has been cleared to the listeners of Ghana Today radio , how the presenter Kofi nyarko was rude to the sympathizers of the ruling NDC Gov, on his "wosukabi" program. Kofi nyarko did not end his rudeness, but Kofi organized members from his npp party, especially those who were akan's, they were carefully selected to come on air to dehumanized the rest of the tribes here in Ghana on his radio show. We the listeners here in Ghana can confirm to the PEACE FM management that the home grown npp terrorist who is now residing in Holland kofi nyarko, has done the same thing he was used to on Monday the 10th of February, when one of his regular caller named Joe Canada ,the sympathizer of the ruling NDC Gov. We heard this gentleman who called the program to refute to the comments one of the caller who is also a sympathizer of the opposition party the npp. The npp man called the program and run insults and accused the people from the Volta Region for the hardships the country is currently facing, he said according to him, he didn't understand why the Ewe's should elect somebody like Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa as their MP , he asked? He went on by saying the Ewe's gives their Votes to anything in front of them, even animals. This uncalled-for words goes down well for the host Kofi nyarko which he congratulated the frustrated npp caller. When the sympathizer to the ruling NDC Gov, Joe Canada, also call the program to refute the unfortunate comments from the npp caller, kofi nyarko who can't hide his affection support for the opposition p npp party ,quickly jumped to defend the npp caller. Kofi nyarko gave his strong warning to the NDC caller not to dare call his radio programs to contribute again, he went on to said , he won't even pick up his call anytime he sees he Joe Canada's number on his phone. These ugly situations compelled some of us to send a strong warning to PEACE FM management, to urgently arrest this situation before its get out of hands. We believed kofi nyarko is trying hard to sow a tribal seeds between us here in GHANA and abroad. The management of PEACE FM must know that kofi nyarko who was placed on npp pay roll to tarnish the ruling NDC Gov, and his division tactics by playing a tribal cards is dangerous to our society and our young democracy here in GHANA We are looking forward to see the management of PEACE FM to call un-erected host kofi nyarko to immediate order before we hit the street of Accra.
