Only fools with no brain in their stupid heads will ever say anything negative against this man. Idiot goat brains with primary school education will open their stinking mouths to accuse this honourable man.

Afari Gyan created the most transparent electoral system in Africa. An election system where parties are allowed to witness everything in the process, from the printing of ballot sheets, to polling stations, to counting, to collation and even to the strong room. He created a system where parties, present along all the process lines had the power to raise any alarm or objection. WHAT ELSE DO U WANT?

Foolish idiots without a head are so drunk in their stupidity that their reasoning has reduced to that of a sheep. I thank you Dr Gyan for all the good works u did for this country, for supervising 2 changing of Governments without fear or favour.

1. Work personnel in electoral services not excluding Afari Gyan delay voting processes in some area bribes are taken to frustrate voters their right?
2. People vote without biometric or data checks.
3. Some people denied voting because their names are not on register which they blame on clerical errors.
4. Transportation of uncounted ballot boxes blaming this on insecurity reasons are "stuffed"
5. Insufficient ballot materials in some areas intentional

You are right about the fact that no one can even attempt to bribe you. However some of your officers at the EC are guilty of that. They do all kinds of things including changing figures before the results are brought to you for your final validation and announcement. A typical example is what happened in the 2008 elections when results from Ashanti region that have already been brought were later altered and represent after pulling out the earlier result. That is what happened. Unfortunately you added those figures that were brought later to the tally because the earlier one had been pulled out by your officers who were bribed. So there is a possibility that people can be bribed to do these illegal things but definitely not you.

He has created an electoral system which has withstood the test of time. He has set such high standards of integrity, character, strength of purpose and toughness for his successors.

Our electoral system is the envy of other countries, including those which had been practising democracy long before us. They have sent officials to learn from us.

Why can't we look forward to what is happening now? The economic situation of the country has never been so precarious, things are falling apart or should I say fallen apart? Are we ever going to have our currency gain or recover from the level it has fallen now?
These are serious issues we should address now. Anyway, is the EC position for life? When is Afari Gyan going to go? When he is 90? His position is now untenable and it's time a page is turned. Is he going to preside over the next elections? That will be absolutely ridiculous to say the least. The way he talks, it looks like he is not going anywhere. Afari is a sell by date product. He has expired in his position by all standards. God save us.

You've been dishonest about elections since 1992. The only time you couldn't help it was when Kuffour beat the NDC because Ghanaians had gotten fed up with Rawlings' imposition. Even those in opposition who didn't agree with the NPP joined forces to oust the NDC. These are facts that nobody can deny. So just don't sit on the airwaves and make crazy statements. Afari Gyan made some mistakes but was not bribed as you think. And that mistakes alone could not have helped your Akyem brother to come to power. NPP were defeated because stupidity and arrogance. A party where everyone sees himself as 'big boss' and too big to go to man the post, that is what will happen and defeat is still waiting for them in 2016, even though the people are already tired of Mahama.

Have you forgotten that the decision of the Supreme Court regarding the petition was not unanimous. Some of the judges did agree with the plaintiff complaint that the result was massaged by EC. So, for you to assume that nothing happened under your watch that affected the result of the election is simply childish.

Fail- safe is used wrongly... Fail safe does pertain to "unrigable" machine but rather one that has measures to continue working at optimal level should a feature fail.

His integrity is intact, and I believe when he retires he will not lack offers to advise on the conduct of elections abroad.

I would suggest that he puts his rich experience into writing for posterity to guide the conduct of elections and management of electoral commissions.

Dr Afari-Gyan, what was the reason behind that requirement either than preparation or clearing the way to rig the election.
Again, I do not personally agree with The method of verification as against the list of total registered number and vote casted . Like,number of votes cast added to the number not casted should equal the total registered voters .
This simple calculations is mathematically correct BUT could be wrong,because of what is called: Compensation Error or Error of Compensation in Basic Accounting.
E.g.: Let say a total registered voters of a particular place is 100 people.And the total votes casted is say 90. So according to the EC method of verification which the political parties agreed on,,90 plus 10 =100.(no questions asked).But it could be wrong in BasicAccounting because that method is not immune to rigging/fraud.E.g : if I collect out of the 90,30 votes casted for party "A" to replace
them with 30 votes of party "B",the results is exactly the same 90 but the election is rigged fraud has taken place,or is tempered with.Therefore,there is an Error of Compensation.That means even though the figures agree, it is wrong.
So the EC method could be described as a lazy way to Check elections result and prone to rigging and cannot detect fraud, if any.
