Can’t believe this. It was just two days ago that I directed Kofi Ata, Cambridge, UK, to the president's Facebook account. But, some rather unscrupulous beings chose to inundate his tablet by which, I suspect, the prepared State of the Nation Address could be on as well, with all sorts of stuffs to the level of almost crashing the system, I heard. Hence therefore, prompting him to thoroughly check his tablet if not compromised.

I was even shocked to read that the Chairman of Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, Kweku Agyemang Manu, the opposition Legislator for Dormaa Central was making a whole capital news out of His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama’s Facebook account yesterday on the airwaves, something they knew and have been sharing all along. So pal, how desperate are you?

Facebook is only used for info/data that one wants to make public or to a limited number of people but certainly a bad idea for the use you allude to. If what you are saying is accurate, then has the president considered the security implications for using Facebook that way?

There are security issues associated with wireless networks (used by tablets) even in a secure environment but regardless, to ensure continuity of service (disaster recovery 101)the president should not save such an important document to his local hard drive(tablet) if not backed up every night -- there should be a secured network shared drive which is accessible by a few including the president from any machine using the right credentials/authentication. Basically, the tablet or whatever node that is used to access the share becomes a dumb terminal and does not matter if it crashes. Where are the IT folks at the Flag Staff house?

Pathetic! Can anyone imagine what would happen if Obama travels to Africa - and sends a letter to Congress saying he couldn't make due to an unforseen situation? Do we expect him to clear doubts about the actual number of employees at the Presidency, give clear answers on his appointment of numerous ministers without portfolio or provide clarification on how the prosecution of Abuga Pele erases the perception that highly placed people in his government are complicit in the corruption galore we call GYEEDA? No, the man is coming to deliver another speech with many promises he has no intention of fulfilling. Hope he succeeds in turning this country around though. But that might just be wishful thinking given the calibre of people he has surrounded himself with.
