THE TWO STUDENTS HAVE SHOWN THE WAY WHICH I EXPECTED THE NATIONAL SECURITY TO HAVE FOLLOWED, BY WAITING FOR THE DECISION OF THE SC. THE JUDGEMENT WOULD HAVE INFORMED GHANAINANS AS TO WHAT TO DO IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAITENANCE.

NOW, AS IT IS, I DON'T KNOW WHETHER I CAN TEAM UP WITH MY BUDDIES TO REPAIR THE ROAD TO OUR HOMETOWN AND CHARGE USERS FOR USAGE, ESPECIALLY GIVEN THE FACT THAT PARLIAMENT HAS GIVEN UG THE GO AHEAD TO COLLECT THE TOLLS.

Long time. So where is our President in this stupidity? Before you answer that question, these are the facts.

- Mahama appointed Gbevlo, the National Security Coordinator

- Mahama appointed the Minister of roads and highway.

- The National Security Coordinator can't do anything without the authority of the President.

- The Minister of Roads and Highway can't make any decision without the approval of the President.

- The Minister of roads and Highways SUPPORTS Legon's action of erecting Toll Booth. As a matter of fact, he encouraged many community to do the same.

- The National Security Coordinator is AGAINST Legon's idea of erecting Toll Booths. So he goes and demolish it.

Shouldn't the question be: WHERE DOES MAHAMA STAND ON THIS ISSUE. Or, where is he with all this idiocy going on among his ministers? Does he support the Minister of Roads and Highway idea of allowing Legon to erect the Toll booth or he supports the Gbevlo for pulling it down.

We have a President who knows nothing about leadership and has allowed his ministers to do whatever they want. Yet, no one is talking about it.

Probably, the most important question should be, Is Mahama plain LAZY, OR IGNORANT OR DUMB; which is which? Can you answer that for me?

This is the impunity and recklessness and the lack of respect for the rule of law and that of the constitution, for which the P(NDC) gov't is noted for, based on it's military junta and vagabond background.
It was this same character who arrogated himself the power to go to the highest court of the land ie the supreme court registry to seize evidence in a case involving the election petition filed against the NDC gov't. Ghana is a banana republic, and NDC gov't needs to be sent packing before the country degenerates into a coconut republic.
There is no leadership in Ghana and when Josiah Aryeh made mention of it, he was insulted and castigated senselessly and that was just over this last 2 days. Ghana is dead under the NDC gov't.

How does this matter fall under the jurisdiction of the national security outfit and under what authority have they demolished the structure?

Obviuosly the university was within its right to build this structure on its land. I am also assuming that they had the requisite permit from the local government to do so, and even if they did not, then it should be a matter for the local government to deal with and not "national security".

The University of Ghana should sue the ass off this caricature and his security outfit. This is when we need the professors in the law faculty to show their stuff.

No institution or individual can single-handedly institute tolls even if they built the road with their own money unless they have been approved by government. Jungle-law cannot be allowed to flourish whereby anyone starts tolling for work they have done with their money! The University could recoup the cost of the roads by charging extra in the students' fee without sounding like they are in the business of road construction and management! On the other hand, the National Security is wrong to demolish the "intended" toll-booth without an order from the courts! The "bugabuga" mentality should not be allowed to creep back into our society! We are "supposed" to live in a democracy and therefore the rule of law must be totally upheld!!

Can you imagine if the government were to allow individuals to construct roads or sections of it, say Kumasi to Accra and charge tolls? Do you see some of these young guys fixing bad sections of roads with top soil and charging fees? It is illegal but it is going on in Ghana right now. UG way to go! Teach the government something.
