Another foolish man who dont understands government is stupidly thinking UG belongs to the university administrators, its a government property and the government of the day can do what they think is right.
Gbevlo and all old students of Legon supports the knocking down of the tollbooth. We all used the streets of Legon free when we were students, why should our children pay.
The administration of UG should know the government can transferr all of them if its feels it right.
Governments dont go about telling people about decisions and actions they are taking. If a president advicer do something its the president doing it. Gbevlo is a security man and dont have to explain to anybody except the president.
John Mahama had a meeting and decided the tollbooth should be knocked down with reasons best known to him and his government.
PPP Owusu is another fool with no knowledge of government operations.

Ghanaians should stop using borrowed terminology like 'impunity'. We need committed individuals to protect the needs of ordinary Ghanaians, The whole process is cumbersome. First, the taxi driver or vehicle owner has to get out, go and queue at the gate, pay some money, and repeat the same on the return journey. It impedes slow progress.I am glad he acted to stop this nonsense. Legon is an academic institutions and not a money making machine for overpaid, overfed University bureaucrats. did. The University authorities should know better. Gbevlo has my support.

There are three other booths that were constructed where tolls are being collected. Why were those booths not pulled down except the Okponglo one? Let us analyse the situation carefully and stop politicising issues. Some members of the University community are also against siting the booth at that point. It is just a matter of someone who doesn’t want to listen to his peers. Sheer arrogance on the part of someone.

Any body at all wakes up and spills out just anything, all in the name of DEMOCRACY - what they call - FREEDOM OF SPEECH. National Security did not order that structure to be "knocked down" because of the collection of TOLLS but for putting up that structure at the wrong place. Had that structure been erected a bit further inside so as not to cause that traffic congestion on the main Accra - Aburi road, National Security would have not had any problem with the UG Authority. Mr. Owusu should know that no one can just get up and decide to erect any structure at any place without seeking clearance from the LOCAL AUTHORITY, - democracy or dictatorship. The UG Authority should have known this simple fact. Why do we defend or oppose everything all because of POLITICS?
