Those who named the Jubillee house, knew the original name should be flag staff yet they went ahead, and so those who were aware it should be Flafstaff House did it at their good and convenient time. What is your problem about that?

Whether a project is executed in the night, morning, afternoon, at dawn etc is not what matters, but what matters is, is it in the interest of the public secutitywise or not?

You are a fool to wish it should have been done at daylight so that it generates confusion and insecurity for the nation. Your background is what you are wishing for Ghana even though you claimed educated as a lawyer.People who never keep piece in their regions. Sadness, why?

Preferably it is better at any reasonable time to carry out such a project at dawn for the security of the general public.

The approach by National Security in demolishing the gates is wrong, especially when the matter is in court, but my biggest issue is with the Legon authorities. An institution with intellectuals sets out to undertake a road project using internally generated funds, selects a method to recoup the funds expended on the project, but fails to undertake the necessary due diligence on the viability of their chosen fund recouping strategy. Where were the dons of the School of Administration and Law Faculty? Couldn't they research comprehensively on the impact and legality of their chosen method? How can you burden students and many who are part of the university with paying tolls to access study and work? Meanwhile couldn't there have been an alternative to secure an agreement with urban roads to create a diversion to divert non essential traffic away from the university? Look at all the wasted vast land the university occupies? Can't planners engage their brains in Ghana for just 10 minutes? In some countries renowned universities with global acclaim only occupy land the size of Accra Mall, but their output far exceeds anything that Legon produces. We are simply intellectually lazy, we possess vast resources and have no clue as to how to generate useful outcomes. Our professors are stuck in the 19th century, with outmoded formats on university administration and can only think of perks and petty university politics. In this day and age why should lecturers be given accommodation on campus with acres of wasted land that only breeds goats and snakes. Legon and Ghana as a whole needs to sit up and think. My solution for recouping the money spent on the roads is for the university to approach its numerous partners and corporate organisations to sponsor the road project in exchange for branding and street naming opportunities, which many corporate bodies will snap up in seconds. It's called thinking outside the box and being creative.

This Lawyer should ask himself why it was only the Okponglo structure that was "knocked down". National Security's reason was to stop the congestion being created on the Aburi - Accra main road. The operation was undertaken in the night so they did not create further nuisance not because the NDC government and it's operatives are merely "night people". Had that structure been allowed to be completed before being pulled down, it would have been this same man who would have rushed to those Radio stations to complain that completed structures could not have been demolished - based on Article this or that. Why can't this man see the acts of impunity in the UG Authorities? In other civilized jurisdictions no one can erect any structure anywhere without seeking clearance from the Local Authority with impunity. Some lawyers..........Tweaaaaaaaaaa!
