The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has in a statement described the Mahama-led administration as a “crassly incompetent and bereft government”.
They also called on Ghanaians to stand up and “seek our hope and fight for our right” due to the mismanagement of the economy by the NDC government.
According to the group, Ghanaians are “confronted with the greatest challenge of all times,” adding that, “the President and his team C men have nothing worthy to offer”.

His beef is, mere people like us and those on FM Radio have the audacity to question some of his stupid pronouncements. To him, no one has the right to talk back to him when he speaks. Do you guys remember when he told us that, unless u have achieved what he had obtained through coercing, u don't have the right to speak.
The question is when did he find out about freedom of speech? As long as ordinary people who can't buy perfume like him and don't send their kids to better American colleges keep their mouths shut, and obey and follow sheepishly of whatever that comes from him then everything is OK.

Its unfortunate that the Leader could even think about that kind of nonsense idea. Our Laws do make it abundantly clear, that the "Free Speech" does not give one the right to knowingly and intentionally say untrue things about somebody just to damage his/her reputation. The consequence for such behaviour is that, the victim can bring a lawsuit against the one to seek redress from the court.
So, Archbishop Duncan-Williams, if you think people are using their right for "Free Speech" to attack you with false and accusatory and damaging information, you have the right to take them to court for redress.
If you choose not want to take any court action to seek redress from the courts, it is up to you. So, please don't your take frustration on our legal rights for "Free Speech." We do not want you, nor Mahama nor anyone to encroached upon our legal rights.

Freedom of speech is the ability of anyone to express their views on any subject being it good or bad. Everyone has an opinion.
It takes maturity to absorb freedom of speech. The truth hurts. When some one voices an opinion whether good or bad, is up to people to accept or not accept. God created man and gave us the freedom to make choices with a guidelines as how to make good choices: The 10 commandments. Does it mean everybody obeys it? NO. I am not a pastor but i think is best for pastors to stay away from politics and stick to preaching the word of God. Christ said give what belongs to Caesar to Caesar and what belongs to God to God.
Freedom of speech has limitations. Soon in Ghana, civil suits will caution people on what they can say.
When people start suing people for character defamation due to freedom of speech, people will think before they say silly things. Ghana is going through a democratic growth process. We must grow to absorb some of the consequences of democracy. Once you become democratic, you can not go back to be a dictator and what preacher Duncan is saying, is an element of dictatorship.

There's the need for a distinction to be made between Hate speech on the one hand and the freedom of speech or right to free speech on the other hand.
The propagation of hate speech is one that our laws frown upon and makes express provisions for such, to be dealt with within the strict confines of the law and our constitution. The right to free speech should be subjected and broadly defined within the context of freedom of expression, to give full meaning to the issue of free speech contextually.
The Rwandan case was one of hate speech and the marginalization of the majority in a country mainly composed of two distinct ethnic groups with one in a majority over the other.
In the Ghanaian context, the multicultural, multiethnic and the diversity of the people makes the issue of hate speech familial in nature without the overbearing reach to the wider population and in this regard, a lot of examples can be cited to buttress this point in reference to the Rwandan case which the GO alluded to.
In the broader context of the right to free speech and with the objective of holding officialdom accountable to the masses, again the laws provide for redress in the case of individuals who feel maligned and scandalized by the utterances of the masses in exercising their fundamental and constitutional as well as inalienable God given right to express themselves freely, and these rights cannot be circumvented, curtailed, stifled, breached or in any way truncated. The exercising of such rights responsibly however is the issue and in that regard, the laws and statutes in our legal and judicial books provides for dealing with such irresponsible free expression/free speech. The extreme nature of free speech bordering on hate as referenced to the Rwandan case, had the likes of a sitting member of parliament being dragged to court in Ghana, and again, affecting the political fortunes of the party in which he was a member. In this instance, the exercising of the free speech by the Parliamentarian who should have known better, had consequences, both legally and culturally and politically, by the citizenry punishing the party of which the parliamentarian was a member, in addition to other acts which did not inure to their benefit in the exercising of the franchise of the electorate. So in effect, there are consequences for irresponsible exercising of one's fundamental right to free speech which society upholds and which our statute books also provides measures for dealing with, and infact, these twin effects should forever be encouraged to work in tandem to deal with the irresponsible exercising of the right to free speech.

When you based your achievements on how many people you have employed and how many you feed daily, were you not being worldly, not to talk about you calling people non-achievers. Boastfulness. Let not what your right hand do be known by your left hand. You know the Scriptures. Pastors like you, in your attempt to play God, not adopting the humility of Christ end up becoming scary in the eyes of those who also KNOW God. Did you also "command" the money you are using to care for the people and to employ others directly from heaven or did you glean it from the people by way of collection or contribution. By the way, did you also use scare tactics to get it? Pastors in Ghana are in the business of foretelling people's future "in double sense" (Macbeth), scaring them in a bid to make them surrender their wealth and, with it, their allegiance: They take the place of Christ. You could think you are the end of the knowlege of God but you could be completely off the beam. The Scripture says test every spirit and see whether it is of God. You could say along with so many other pastors of your kin, like the one who got under the Asantehene's skin recently, that you belong to a different tribe. A tribe of what kind of Spirit? A boastful, showy, virulent, scare-mongering, grasping tribe?
"Do not be wise in your own eyes" (Pr. 3:7).
While I will agree you that Ghanaians should not talk on tribal lines, politicians, institutional leaders and pastors should not take the struggling people for granted. Everyone of them needs to fear God completely - particularly the pastors, YOU not excluded.

Mr Questions, where do you reside that you do seem not to know there's God. How can I help you? For surely, you need help as your name lets out. The Lord Jesus is the Holy Son of God, the Holy Father. You may know that the Father sent the Son down to rescue us fallen beings. When He was down with us here, He was in the form of a man just so we could walk with Him and learn from Him. Otherwise, He is not a man like you and me. Everything about Him, you may know, is extraordinary: born by a virgin, born in a manger, and died on the cross. That is the way God works - to baffle people like you. Born by a virgin because God wanted mankind to understand that He remained the Father. God gave Him as lamb to atone for our sins as fallen beings. When we sent Him to the cross we were unknowingly personally sacrificing our lamb. A blameless lamb that is acceptable to God forever, replacing the animal sacrifices that had momentary atonement power. If God had used any regular human being like you and me for the sacrifice, mankind would have reason to point out that that individual died a deserving death on a cross because of his sinful nature. To obviate that reasoning our part, God sent His Special One. He never sinned and yet died as sinner in our hands revealing the wickedness in us, the very thing God wants to correct in us. God's ways are unfathomable. He is wonderfully wise. Before He went to the cross He foretold His disciples. As human beings it was distasteful to them, naturally. You remember Peter thinking he could counsel Jesus out of His intention. Does this little point look like a fabrication to you? When Peter later wept for disowning Jesus, does that also look like a fabrication? Or, like when Paul in Galatians (2:14-16) rebuked Peter - is it a fabrication? Why are fellow human beings here in the Bible behaving so true to form? Because the Bible tells it as it is. No other agenda. God uses people like you me to present His holy plan.
God gave His Only Son, His all, to redeem us. God in His practicality demonstrated through His Son the promised resurrection for us who accept His plan in His Son.When we accept the Son as our Savior who has already paid for our sins, our sins are forgiven. We have a new life in Him as children bought with His blood. But we must be true sons and daughters obeying everything He has taught,in our new life in Him(Matt. 28:18-20), and not mockers. If you don't see the beauty and wisdom of God among us Christians, it is because there are so many of us that are mockers. God is actively working to sanitize the world through His Holy Word. There is a spillover everywhere but you may not have time to appreciate it.
The Holy Son, now at His Father's right hand, after obeying His Father unto death on the cross for their love for mankind, has been given all authority in heaven and on earth - Matt.28:18-20. As a good Son, He is one with the Father. As He serves the Father He serves Himself because a good son knows that what belongs to the father belongs to him. Working with the full authority of God the Father, He is God. Remember doubting Thomas? When Jesus appeared before him, he exclaimed, "My Lord and my God" (Jn. 20:28). In his place your spirit could not have exclaimed differently.
What man could have converted legendary Paul in a matter of seconds, doing so from heaven? Pray that He appears to you one day; you will know how you would call Him. I, who, am writing you, I know Him perfectly well. But it is of no use telling you this when the Holy Bible itself may not have a place in your life already. The Bible has promised that "I will destroy the wisdom of wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate" (1 Cor.1:19). I will pray for you not to be wise or intelligent before God. You have a humble name: Mr Questions. May God bless my effort to share His word with you. Know that God is a God of the helpless, the alien, the widow, the orphan. These people cannot raise hedges against the reality and truth of God. All of us are helpless, if you like, and have a chance of coming to Him through His Son.
There is the Holy Spirit also, a third member of the Godhead. The Son, like the Prime Minister, commits every plan He makes to the Holy Spirit for its execution. The Holy Spirit in Its workings as God is omnipresent. It indwells the child of God, guiding him or her in their choices which they may obey or disobey depending on whether or not they really fear/love God. When an angel appeared before Cornelius, Acts 10:1-8 - that's an example of the Holy Spirit at work. Or, when Peter was miraculously walked out of the prison, Acts12:1-18 - that's another example. It, thus, protects jealously the beloved of God. The Holy Spirit may appear in the form of an angel to a child of God as we have seen. Christ Himself may appear in certain grave situations like in the conversion of Paul (Acts 9). He may choose to present the Father and the Holy Spirit to special servants: "Jesus replied: 'If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him'"(Jn.14:23). God does that to give such servants special strength. Read 2 Cor. 12:1-10, and Acts 7:56.

I respond because I see an obligation under God to do so. I look at the examples you have given to question the reality of Christ to be, frankly speaking, strange, if not frivolous. I do not want even to mention any of the mythical names you cited in your comment. They don't deserve to be taken up on my lips. If they were really of any import, we should see their role and influence in our present day life. What belongs to myth belongs to myth and that is where they find themselves consigned. Do you notice that even the dates used recording their mythical existence were based on the advent of Christ? When you write 200AD, do you know that the "AD," is a reference to Christ? Why Christ and not any one else? It's because He sowed a perpetual seed. He is real and not a myth. Be careful!! You are dealing with a power greater than any one you can imagine - and you are dealing irrevocably with your eternal salvation: You have one chance only. Don't be frivolous, simply questioning for questioning sake.
You mentioned Constantine. Do you know the Bible did not start from him. Do you know that the Old and New Testaments form one long continuum? God, in great wisdom, foretold the coming of His Son, His birth and His death as a sacrificial lamb in the Old Testament so that people like you and me will not doubt, having been prepared by the Old Testament . Please, get someone to help you read the Old Testament carefully. I hope you are not going to say Constantine got the Old Testament written and put together. Do you see any incoherence in the Bible to merit this claim? If you get to know God effectively, you will understand that He has every means to put things that He treasures together whether by the agency of Constantine or you or me. And you will be able to discriminate between what is of Him and what is of Satan. For Satan will always sow bad seeds in the garden. It takes the discerning, the humble-hearted to know the difference, praising God.
God and His Christ are real, Kwame. I wouldn't have the strength to tell you if I didn't know. I wouldn't spend this energy writing. But I am compelled to write out of gratitude to God for His gracious presence in my life through His holy Son. As the Scripture says, "From those who have been given much, much is required" (Luke 12:48). So I am doing this writing as a duty.
If you seek God persistently, you will have a transformed heart and God will reward you by revealing Himself to you to encourage on that path, for His "eyes going to and fro the earth to see those whose hearts are getting perfect towards Him, to strengthen them". When you really get to know Him you will "sell all your property" to buy even more of Him (Mt. 13:45).
God is love, you know that. He personally demonstrated His love by giving us His Son "that whoever believes in Him shall never perish but have eternal life" (Jn 3:16). One must be careful not to fall afoul of this particular scripture. It is the crux of the whole Bible.
God has shown us His love. To please Him and be like Him we must love one another. People who are ineffective in their knowledge of God are those who don't understand love to begin with. They look around to find all the negatives their unfruitful minds can muster and use them against the God they are failing in the first place - against every plan of God including His plan for salvation in His Son. They deny the reality of the Son to their detriment. They try seek spiritual truth in academic circles. In what some irresponsible individuals post on line.
As I have mentioned, to know God you must love your neighbor in His name. Pay careful attention to everything you do,loving every one around you equally without discrimination or bias or partiality. Don't work to take care of only yourself but seek to help the needy and the helpless. No false testimony. Learn to forgive and don't rush to take people to court: let God be your judge. If you are married take very good care of your wife and children; after all,charity begins at home. Take very good care of your body which is your temple. Don't smoke if you learn it is harmful, for if you are careless about your health how can you care about other people's life? Respect women; treat them as your sisters,ones that can safely consult you for help or advice: Do this all in the name of the Holy Father through His Son. A Spirit of joy and peace from will enter your soul and you will find it difficult to believe how the Holy Son, out of joy for you, will serve you in turn as if He were your servant, providing you all your needs so you can continually help others in the name of the Father through Him, the Son. If you do that, you will see the truth and the truth will set you free. You will be the one writing this note to someone that needs spiritual help. You will be living on earth and yet striding heaven. Brother Kwame, Christ is real and the Holy Bible is every inch God's word. Love your Christ for the sake of your eternal salvation. Amen.

He took insults to uncharted territory when he insulted everyone, chiefs, elders, kings, ministers of state; law makers, judges, presidents, etc. We seemed to enjoy it and even accepted it as the new norm. He maligned people, hurt their reputation with unsubstantiated allegations, threw people into jail without due process and organized the abduction and murder of 3 high court judges and a retired army officer. He got away with all these. The seed we allowed him to sow is now bearing fruits. Even some of our politicians of today have developed such foul mouths you can't believe the words that come out of their mouths. What do we expect ? Duncan Williams should man up and counsel with the unrepentant Rawlings who began it all and continues today with what he calls boom speeches which are nothing but insults and unsubstantiated allegations against his perceived enemies.
