We have lost our direction.
When Kuffour was President,atleast we knew where we were going,we knew Ghana was a HIPC Country so we lived like a HIPC Nation,till they were able to bring us to a low Middle Income Country,we benefited from,NHIS,CAPITATION,METRO TRANSPORT SYSTEM,SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMME,FREE MATERNAL CARE AND,AND.
Then came the NDC,tookover Ghana when the economy was growing 7%annually without Oil,NDC took over when Ghana started selling oil,five years along the line,Feuel products is so expensive like never before,we are still expierencing Dumso Dumso,Hospitals have no drugs to treat patients,NHIS is brain dead,babies are being stolen from Hospitals,Armed Robbers have formed an Assoociation and now we don`t have water.
Ghana is like a Ship without a Captain wandering aimlessly on high Sees without any direction.
Oh Ghana once the pacesetters of Africa,has become a laughing stock.

Every city should a reservoir TANK holding at least 20 million gallons to supply water to its residents should be a problem. The water level in the tank is monitored daily. Also, the types of pipelines installed should be valuated based on the environment: to use copper PVC or plastic fittings.

How come do we still have the problem?. Its been over fifty years. Is it because the Electric and Water & Sewerage Engineers some of whom were educated in local Universities and Overseas Universities don't have any clue to solving the problems facing the two Companies?. Apart from the engineers, we've had Managing Directors who receive fat salaries for what they do.
Unfortunately and apparently, they've done nothing to improve the situation, and yet they continue to enjoy the fat salaries with good benefit.
Is it because they are simply incompetent or they don't know what they have to do? What is their problem? It is about time they speak out and tell us who the culprit is.

A leader who will make sure corrupt politicians who steal the taxpayers money are punished within two months. Right here in America where democracy and rule of law reigns ,no body can steal the taxpayers money and work on the street as Woyome and co are dancing on the streets of Accra. Corrupt politicians serve between 100 and 150 years in prison.Even President Obama can not touch the masses bucks.Ghanaians must open the eyes very when casting their votes next time.

Doc, you hit the nail by the head, I have worked for the Florida PURC for several years and no good water system depends on a main dam, a major dam is used as a backup system for Class C water distribution (Small water systems) the tariffs being charge is not adequate for the water company to meet its costs and due to political influence and inefficiencies the cost of production is too high.
With the same rate of financing I can put up a team to design and implement a system that Accra will not see water shortage so far as they adhere to the plan.
