Sometimes it is baffling to see how "educated" Ghanaians act like complete "clue-less" illiterates when confronted with the slightest challenge: In any civilized society, the it is an accepted legal principle that when a person makes a accusation, they must supply prove of the validity of their claims before the accused can be expected to plead their guilt or innocence. The NPP is a party that is loaded with so called "legal luminaries" so it is strange that Mr. Afoko is being made to defend what is at the moment a BASELESS accusation. Is this a joke or what?

What is a criminal record to this vetting committee. If they want to know anytime about criminal record the last place should be interpol. Interpol deal with criminals not ex- convicts.
The supposed person (Jake) should know which court and prison Paul was jail and the reasons for him been there.
Those idiots who do want Paul to be the chairman are or is wasting there time. Paul was in prison in ghana by stupid Rawlings june 4. If the supposed vetting committee call that a crime than Paul is a criminal who stands against Coups.
Those who think UK laws are the same like ghana are so stupid, the UK Laws are made up as they go. Something can be crime today and not a crime tomorrow.
If even Paul was in prison or had a criminal record in the UK what has that got to do with NPP in ghana.
Paul is not standing to be the president or minister for NPP, he is standing to organised the NPP back to power.
Those fools among us (NPP)who dont see Jake as a big shame and a failure to the party should think and rethink again. Jake as the 2012 chairman of NPP took NPP to the supreme court not the party. He was the one under his chiarmanship who failed to make sure NDC didnt rig the elections and failed.
If Jake had done his job well NPP lead by Nana Addo and Mahamadu wouldnt have made the petition to the Supreme Court in the first place.
Paul only wants to correct the mistakes that lead to NPP losing the elections. Jake told all NPP members he did his best for NPP to win the 2012 general election. If Jake did his best and we didnt win WHY do anybody thinks he can do better this time in 2016. Its good better best not best better good. We should be stupid to give Jake a chance again. Jake is a man who government house is hanging on his neck not Paul.
On the other hand Paul should be happy because after all these nonsense NPP will know where and how clean Paul is.
Paul is not saying June 4 coup in ghana he was lockup by Rawlings. If NPP vetting committee thinks Rawlings locking up is a crime they cant say Paul cant stand and that will prove how stupid the committee can be. If Paul didnt ran away to the UK the murderer Rawlings would have killed him as he did to so many people in ghana.

In the UK AttaKrufi has made the party chair his personal property and Richard Diedong Dombo, the son of Chief SD Dombo cannot get a look in - in a party which worships its past heroes and has bent over backwards to accommodate the son of Obetstebi-Lamptey, the nephew of Victor Owusu, the grandson of JB Danquah. Extraordinary discrimination against the son of a man whose sacrifice gave the tradition life and made the party. Now Paul Afoko cannot even contest the chairmanship of the party? I'm flabbergasted that the NPP really isn't shying away from drug allegations considering recent history. The NPP has a suspect credibility on tribalism; so let the vetting committee tread carefully here. If drugs are good for the goose, why aren't they good for the gander?

Any politician who is sensible and love GHANA must stop pointing at where TRIBAL POLITICS might have come from, because that will not take us anywhere. Another person will come and point at another direction. The fact is that today we all know it is not a good thing to do and must be discouraged, rather than use it to our selfish advantage. The unity of our dear nation is more important than the survival of any political grouping. Ghana has been there long before any of these parties (which have a lot of selfish and insincere individuals) were formed. Ghana will be there when they are long gone. Let us sincerely pledge our loyalty to GHANA rather than a political party. How sincere are most of the members of these parties when it comes to stewardship with things of the nation? I would have expected an Opposing Party, like the NDC, trying to dig dirt on NPP member, not NPP digging up dirt on its own. Why not make similar inquiries on all the NPP Candidates vying for all the Positions at stake, then?
