  I am not trying to ruffle feathers but there are questions that should be asked as to who is a hero? The soldiers who died on February 28 did not die defending Ghana because there was no Ghana at that time. Right or wrong? ...

  I am not trying to ruffle feathers but there are questions that should be asked as to who is a hero? The soldiers who died on February 28 did not die defending Ghana because there was no Ghana at that time. Right or wrong? Now, why were they shot? They were going to collect their unpaid salaries/wages for services they rendered to the Queen in serving in the West African Frontier Forces set up to fight Nazi Germany.
  
  Now, imagine they were paid, would we hear about what they did or how much they were paid? It is quite unfortunate that they died that way but that is not a hero status to me.

  Open fire on a defenseless citizens when they attempted to justify their grievance thru peaceful demonstration,their death paved the way to independence.
