  At a time when pregnant women are being robbed of their babies in broad daylight and farmers ---with cocoa loads at their backs, walking between 10-15 kilometers only to be turned back to their villages without pay,you're in the White woman's bosom preaching her ideology! He is allowing Mahama and Afari Gyan to learn from a distance without pouring Petrol on the Socio-economic cum political tension currently in the country. Let me tell you, there are flickers of flames in the country due to tough conditions and any speech from a respected person like Kofi about Ghana specifically will legitimize any "Kumi Preko" campaigns being planned, and this time, only this time, it will not be peaceful, SOME OF THE ARM FORCES WILL JOIN ON THAT DEMO AND IT WILL NOT BE PRETTY FOR MOTHER GHANA.   If govt. can't pay Cocoa farmers for their farm produce does that have to be connected to the former UN secretary general? You guys always find ways to sensationalise issues. The man has always used diplomatic means to solve pressing issues in Africa and abroad. Hunger, poverty, mis-use of power, molestation, cheating in elections and torture of innocent people around have always been some of Dr. Kofi Anna's concerns. So what's your problem here; what would you rather want him to say; or you'd want to see him use brute force to send his message across? Please let's be wise.

  Former UN Secretary General is 100% right but he did not go beyond expectations.(1)The former UN secretary Genenal fail to mention integrity of foreign observers.Some are very corrupt,they accept bribes from gold to cash of their choices and lecture that world that so,so and so country election was free,fair and transparent.(2)because UN endorse election rigging and not condemning it giving these thiefs who made their way to power without the populace mandate are given the platform to address general assembly instead of isolate them from civil society.(3)Both the IMF and World Bank also endorse rigging of election and do business with these leaders instead of denial them loans(4)Donor countries also support rigging or unclean election because those leaders who rig the election will steal money meant for development to deposit in their countries use the same money they stole to loan them for more interest so they don't condemn rigging.Un is to blame for all these mess.

  Dear Mr Secretary General, it is exactly what happened in your own country-the manipulation by any means necessary to win an election by The NDC party. So be bold , and tell it like it is. The results is all there to see. A country that retrogressed under a brutal/murderous military regime of J J Rawlings, that morphed into a civilian regine with the same results, retrogression. When those who are bold with vision let the truth out, they are met with the same propaganda and insults for telling the truth. There is an urgent need to reform the electoral proces in Ghana, especially the EC and I don't see why any of the political stake holders talking about it. If they fail to take this action, the people will be cheated again and again by people who have no interest of the country/people but jump in politics for their own self aggrandisement and to "create ,loot and share; as is permeating the country under a crooked NDC govt. that we see today.

Has Kofi Annan done anything at all from his own pocket to help students at Legon? No to all of the above! Yet he is chopping and quenching as Chancellor of Legon and doing nothing for the university. The same as Jonah at Oguaa University, and Otumfuor at KNUST. Bloody parasites all. Take, take, take from Ghana, and never give for once! With all the fabulous money Annan made at the UN, he could have set up scholarship fund for school kids in his village or even at Legon. But alas no, he'd rather be drinking blood wine and eating caviar in Vienna while his village folks struggle and die.
