Adventurers land from Planet Mars at the same time? Listening to the DCE and the Regional Police Commander makes my heart ache!
It was only a couple of weeks ago that the Water, Works & Housing Minister toured some of these areas and issued what was obviously an empty threat to these illegal mining operators. And the sad fact is that this minister,who hails from the region, has held the Lands & Mineral Resources portfolio before,and must have been aware of the presence of these miscreants,some of whom are foreigners,and ought not to be in this country at all! It seems the govt is content to sit around and look on passively till disaster hits before taking any decisive action;why?
What prevents the state from exercising its right of eminent domain to declare a large tract of exclusionary zone to sageguard this vital national asset?
This is simply amazing and mindboggling to say the least!
I do not believe any help from outsiders to be able to deal with this looming danger,do we?

Mr. Commissioner who else do you expect to solve this thorny issue but you?
If you still don't understand, It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell you to pull your men and women from the highways and trunk roads from harassing drivers. Mobilize your people and curb this crime. This is a matter of national concern - far more crucial than putting men and women on the roads to collect two and five cedis from drivers. ALL THE BEST!
