Well that's what happens when all of a sudden you incorporate tribalism in a political party. We all supported Kufuor but treating other tribes as inferior is the main downfall of the NPP. I can see the NPP winning the next election. Since most people do not actually like this government. However, this will only be possible of the NPP stop insulting other tribes (especially the fanti's and the Ga's). As history will tell, these two groups always determine who wins the election. So please NPP don't treat the fanti's, the Ga's, the Ewe's and also the northerners as trash again. Or else they will always teach you guys a lesson. As simple as that....

i live at ashonman and work at birth and death registry in accra central. l pay pay 60 pesewas from my house to atomic junction to join 'trotro at ghc1.90 to accra. That bring to GHC2.50. i do same on my return. The total value is GHC5 a day. Now our leadership is contemplating adjusting daily wage to GHC6 a day. Yes, this is governance at its best. Mahama and his team spend about GHC 100 a day on fuel at the expense of the masses. Ghanaians, be your own judges and decide your children's future. AM DONE

What a shame. In Mahama(NDC)'s Ghana, that is not even enough for a worker's transportation to work. Mahama, stop the propaganda messages and get to work to fix Ghana's collapsing economy

Ghana needs to move to the hourly wage system whereby minimum wage is pegged at 6 cedis per hour instead of a day. This will help increase production. So if you work 8hrs a day, you earn 48 cedis a day. With 6 cedis a day, you cannot afford transportation to and from work, do not even think of buying an alonko of gari to feed yourself. Especially, when you have a family of 3 or more. The minimum wage earner is forced to do something else to make ends meet which sometimes may not be right choice.

Hourly wages can be calculated easily than monthly. If you are a shoe factory worker for instance and you produce 1 shoe every hr, in an 8hr shift you are expected to produce 8 shoes.

I hope that one day this can happen in Ghana

To add, don't force a hungry person who cannot feed themselves with the wages you are paying them to be productive at work. That is one reason Ghana's GDP stays low. When a worker is fully feed, chances are better in getting ...
