SGT we as a people are getting lost, our children have no future and neither do we, the mere act of cleaning our environment, can have such economic benefit you will be suprised. For instance do you know that by cleaning up that area alone can lead to investment and job creation,? what would you rather have, filth and poverty or a developed area that creates prosperity? what investor will want to invest his money in the filth that exists today? think about it ? lets help open the minds of our people instead of fighting every good thing that can come our way

Maybe our "charismatic" preachers are tired of preaching the simple gospel of Christ. They are now branching into politics in order to save Ghana. Maybe they should stand for elections or go into parliament altogether.

I hate to admit that the pastor is right on this issue because I had given up on him after he seem to have forgotten his calling and gotten himself immersed in actions that only enriched him. I was attracted to CGC when it first started because Otabil seem to have a vision, a vision shock ghanaians into sitting up and changing our ways, a vision to truly empower us through Christ but he lost it, he got caught up in power grabbing and ensuring his legacy. Now he seems to be going back to his calling and I am glad. Pastor this is what God called you to do, empowering the average joe, leading the way to free them from psychological and mental slavery through the enlighten the Father gives to us . Truly Preach on Pastor and we will all come back

The problem plaguing Ghana has more to do with insincerity and hypocrisy than lack of ideas.
Pastor Mensah Otabils's call is a call to Ghanaians to be environmentally responsible. The issue of Sodom and Gomorra or Agbogloshie, did not start with Prez. Mahama and must viewed as such. This was part of the "Odaw River" rehabilitation project which commenced in the late 1990s. Has the project been truncated? Is anybody asking the AMA to speak to the issue or it is again very fashionable and convenient to blame it on the current president or government. There was a Ministry for Modernization of the capital City under Prez. Kuffour and can anyone point to any achievements of that Ministry considering what Pas. Mensah Otabil is talking about today.
Our insincerity and lack of candor as a people is what is killing us. Pastor Obtabil knows there are critical issues on relocating the squatters there; and Human right lawyers or advocates are keenly looking at how the AMA or gov't relocates the people there in a very humane manner prior to initiating or continuing any developmental projects there. It's very easy to say these things when one is on the sideline but it can be done. Personally, I think the AMA should be tasked with that responsibility and the ministry of local gov't must support the Assembly to speed up the process of relocating the squatters. Gov't can put these squatters in some affordable accommodation outside of the capital.
However, until Ghanaians divorce politics from grave national issues like this one and proffer constructive suggestions and are fair in their criticisms of all gov'ts, we will continue to find ourselves in situations like this. Ghana seriously needs “Thinkers and not mere Talkers" but unfortunately, we have more empty and politically skewed talkers.
