The unity of our dear country must not be compromised for any political gain. Any politician who is sensible and love GHANA must stop pointing at where TRIBAL POLITICS might have come from, because that will not take us anywhere. Another person will come and point at another direction. The fact is that, today we all know it is not a good thing to do and must be discouraged, rather than use it to our selfish advantage. The unity of our dear nation is more important than the survival of any political grouping. Ghana has been there long before any of these parties (which have a lot of selfish and insincere individuals) were formed. Ghana will be there when they are long gone. Let us sincerely pledge our loyalty to GHANA rather than a political party. How sincere are most of the members of these parties when it comes to stewardship with things of the nation? This is what I always describe as primitive village mentality of certain people in higher positions in Ghana. The frustrated bishop think he can lambast politicians to win favor from the frustrated citizens who are like him, since they are all lazy people who like foreign goods than what is produuced in their own nation.

If not frustrated and confused, why is he shouting that Ghanaians will live to regret if they trust Mahama in relation to the free SHS. The free SHS will happen and we will trust Mahama than you because you bible holders of the highest order have failed God. You bishops and etc are the number people God will question if you really understand the bible.

How many times since the time you became a bishop that you had honestly organised some other men of God to meet governments of the past and present to discuss about the dying moral code of Ghanaians in relation to politics, social, religion, unity, tribalism etc.

You are all funny so called men of God, because you prefer to sit on the touch line till when things spoil then you take your bibles to find fault with people in governmental positions and start playing games with the stupid frustrated public so that they can see you as good people. You are all liars in the presence of God.

When was the last time that you the Bishop of Kumasi organised a synposium with the involvement of our present and past governments of the situation of unemployment of the youth and that you came out with good plans that could be visualised as of great importance.

Do not stand far and shout at Mahama and his NDC as the target of exposure but with a smart mind just mentioned NPP so that you could not be discovered. Concerned people have already seen your hidden mind of presentation. Change that mind and be at peace with God.

All the same I woulkd advise Bishop Kantanka of Kumasi Methodist to use his position to address this in a more appreciative way of contacting them through his position as a bishop.

Creating work is a great task, that in practical terms is difficult to do because the white man will surely never never wish you to creat anything of work. Wake from your sleep and understand international politics today. International politics is commerce/businbess.

I agree with him that quality of education at all levels is equally important as well as jobs for the unemployed. At the same time access to education both by availability and affordability are also important. It is true that the progressive free SHS announced by President is difficult to accept when the same government is currently unable to provide funds to feed SHS boarding students and provide essential materials for primary and JHS.

However, for the Professor Bishop to claim that Ghanaians will regret if they believe the President is very unfortunate, if it is not open incitement against the President or even political. The President has give 2015 academic year as the implementation date. For that reason why can't the learned Professor Bishop give the benefit of the doubt to the President till September 2015? He should not hid behind the cloak to do politics in the name of God.

The emphasis must be on nurturing skills and capabilities, rather simply imparting knowledge. No wonder in The UK you talk of the "Department for Education and Skills". Most of the time when we talk of education in Ghana, brute memorizing is meant. Also, our main stuff is of the nature that doesn't enable students acquire skills needed for jobs on the knowledge-driven markets of the current technological era.

However, it is the obviously dishonest posture of the president that makes me side with the Bishop not to believe the president's new "benevolence" towards the poor in Ghanaian society.

Here is what he said about Free Education less than two years ago:

Is he now going to enforce "something patently fraudulent" on the people of Ghana? Clearly this president has no clue what it is to be president of a country. He is just there for the perks and to enrich his relatives and friends. What a waste of space!

Mr Priest, come out with viable suggestions for educating the majority of our youth. At your position, I believe you have noticed how skewed the development and future of the youth is at present: wards of the affluent have opportunities to develop to become affluent and wards of the poor folk grow up to become poor guardians of deprived youth. Don't you think it is about time something is done to correct the imbalance? If the purpose of free education is to help correct this imbalance, then what we must all do is to suggest how to make free education effective, rather than just chide the idea. And the church must be in the forefront of the venture!

Who in their right mind trust politicians with their promises? This bishop is not against free education, all he's saying is that, such mandate is not feasible. Government can't even afford to pay some teachers & some labors. Some children are still schooling under trees, various projects remain abandoned due to lack of funds & we're being bombarded with the rhetoric of free education. If you can't solve all these issues because of lack of funds, how can you fund free education, which can be quiet expensive. The bishop criticize both parties for their fairytale political gimmick & he's 100% correct.

It is very dengrous in such a society because the few who are known to have education take advantage of the many who have no education. And one can see that among Ashantis.

Putting people on higher pedestal is part of the causes of the problems we are facing in Ghana, especially if those on these pedestals are failing woefully at the jobs they were elected to do.
Democracy makes them fair game to criticisms and as far as I know, Ghana was still a democracy the last time I checked. Right?

You have been that harsh and not very respectful to your Prez. I will advise you to render an apology. As a Christian leader, I expect you to lead your congregation to pray for your Prez that God will help him execute such a responsibility of free SHS from the time indicated by the Prez, and NOT to advise Ghanaians NOT to trust the Prez of what he has said. His Excellency deserves an apology from you, Sir.

Let me sound a little proverbial here. A man has a number of children he has cared for, providing for them including the house-keeping money "akohamabo". Now, they are of age and are working. They contribute money monthly and give it to one of them, instead of their experienced father to manage the home. What do you think will happen? I leave it to you to think about, fellow Ghanaians.

He never said Ghanaians will live to regret if they trust Prez Mahama. He talked about infrastructure in tertiary institutions that need improvement. We beg you do not push the bishop in to dirty politicking. Free SHS has been in existence until JSS/JHS policy came. I attended Sixth Form for 2 years free of charge. University eduction after the 6th was free. I f this is coming back under mahama all well and good.

Free education can never replace educational reforms this country needs. Resources are in aboundance but the country lacks expertise to add value to our raw materials and always rely on technology transfer all because the educational systems are out dated and does not produce the right sets of people to manage the affairs of the Nation. Time has come for the educational curricular to be re- engineered or structured to suit the modern trends of doing things to help move the nation forward and to make her self reliant and independent indeed. The nation is 57 years and can not be on her own all in the name of wrong leadership drive and directions coupled with bad and corrupt systems of education. You've said what God directed you to say and those talking should pause and read psalm 109. Saleh
