I took my younger brother to Ankarful in 1973 or thereabouts. He was having frequent fits, and because we did not know what was causing it, my parents asked me to take him to Cape Coast where they heard there was a specialist unit that could help.
Sure enogh, my brother received the necessary medical attention which stopped the fits.
I still recall the warmth I received from the doctors and nurse when we went there. For all these forty years, any time I hear the mention of Ankarful, it gives me a feeling that it is a place to meet nice people. I don my hat to staff who have worked and still work there. I promise to give you GHC100,000.00 when I can afford it. But definitely before I die!

I THINK ITS TIME WE ADOPTED RHE FEDERAL STYLE OF GOVT IN GH. EACH REGION WOULD HVE OVERSIGHT OVER ISSUES LIKE HEALTH, EDUCATION, TRANSPORT ETC...FEDERALISM WILL INCREASE COMPETITION N ACCOUNTABILITY. LAZY NIGGAS

Every single government official I dealt with was corrupt.From the customs officers at the ports, the police men and women on our highways right to the clerk in the local government offices like lands and car registration offices. Every single one of them demanded bribe. Very discouraging.

So while, I will gladly like to get involved in this drive, I'm a little bit skeptical of the folks at home. Let me know how we can bypass all the bereaucratic twerps at home so that we can help those actually in need.

Anybody else reading this? Please let's get involved and help our unfortunate countrymen and women. May the Good Lord help Ghana!!!

Now there would be more of these unfortunate women on the streets to be taken advantage of by these shameless men who call themselves human beings.

If I had my way, all those people in high places who are supposed to be responsible for taking care of these institutions but are instead stealing all the funds meant to keep these places running, should be shot. In my view, they are just as useless as the corrupt politicians in power who are also syphonning all the money away from the country's coffers into their swiss bank accounts. Just shameful and ungodly. Damn!!!!!

The administrator of that hospital must be investigated, he is so corrupt. I was reliably informed by a staff of the hospital that, a philanthropist donated a television set to a ward at the hospital, it was then taken to the medical stores and was billed against that particular ward, at the end of the day some moneys went into private pockets, he will then turn around and complain that there is no money to run the hospital. There are so many corruption and illegalities going on in that hospital which need serious investigations.
