The premier university of Ghana - The University of Ghana Legon sadly does not appear in the top 500 universities on earth. This must be corrected immediately. The university in order to achieve this must improve:
1) Faculty student ratio
2) The number of research projects it carries out
3) The test scores of its entry class (internationally normalised)
4) Employers' review of performance of its graduates (local and abroad)
5) Peer review by other universities

Oh Ghana where are we heading to ?yesterday it was Ankarful hosoital which was not receiving money from the Government,today it is the Lectures.How can the President promise us in his SoNA a lot of things when workers are not receiving their pay?Free Education?Anything free is not cherished therefore at least 200cedis per student per Term is better else the students may go to school and find out that the Teachers,Cooks,Water etc are not there because the Government had not released Funds for such.What the youths need is quality education and employment but not free and rotten education.We need Factories and Industries.The manufacturing sector should be strengthend,reduce the Importation of Foreign goods and encourage made in Ghana products.China, Korea, Malaysia .etc have done it.We have to stop saving in Foreign Banks and stop going for medical check-ups in Foreign countries ,equip our hospitals.

No sense of creativity and vision for their country. one former Professor asked me what I should have been taught at the University the following: innovation and creativity, professional ethics and entrepreneurship in addition to solving all those wonderful equations.

The Universities needs to invent themselves and be at the fore front of Nation building.
