It is a shame that the Mahama admin cannot run anything right. What a shame! They can't think outside the box to establish new programs, and can't sustain those that are already in place. Ghana is really doomed.

The NDC gov't within a matter of 5 years have managed to bury Ghana in the pits from their incompetence, corruption and stupendous thievery. It is on record that the Christian Health Providers Association of Ghana, hope I got the name of their umbrella body right, somewhere last year threatened to suspend, curtail or abrogate all arrangements with gov't over their unpaid NHIS claims which was in arrears, for over a year or thereabouts, and resort to the cash and carry system.
Recently, we have heard of other health facilities threatening to resort to the cash and carry system eg Korle Bu, KATH, etc, etc.
The Pharmaceutical services have also had cause to threaten to stop the provision of NHIS services, with the Ghana Chamber of Pharmacy making their intentions known just but a few weeks ago, over unpaid NHIS arrears running into almost a year. The same has been said for medical suppliers.
The provision of affordable healthcare under the National health Insurance scheme under the NDC gov't has effectively collapsed with the cash and carry system rearing it's ugly head with it's attendant consequences. Is this the kind of delivery that, Ghana signed for under that "e de bee k3k3" mantra? What is the better Ghana agenda under such a very sorry state of affairs? And in the midst of such a bungling mess, the NDC gov't continues to engage in the most appalling form of propaganda, that the NHIS that they have rundown is off such quality that, it comes nowhere near that of the US. Ghana is better, far better than what the NDC gov't can and is offering the nation, and for the society to progress, it's imperative that, the masses hold the NDC accountable at the ballot box and vote them out in 2016. What percentage of the citizenry have the means to fly out of the country like the NDC gov't officials to access quality healthcare outside of the country? How many of the citizenry even have the means, in the face of such hardships and escalating standard of living, high taxes, increase in utilities, etc, etc, afford to access affordable healthcare under the cash and carry system, which is bursting at the seams to assume the reins of healthcare financing in the country? The NDC gov't has been a huge failure and this is not what Ghana signed up for under the better Ghana agenda, NO!!!
