These are list of national assets, institutions and factories Nkrumah left behind: You have the freedom to edit or amend it. Thanks! If Ghanaians are left with such a huge national assets and could not not multiply it after 57 years then you are [………] fill in the gap. Remember Ghana had to import everything during the colonial period and did not possess a single factory. Nkrumah stated from the scratch I mean no factory. Rero –nil – zilch. Now look at all these institutions and factories and estimate whether 200 million pounds could be able to do the trick?. By the way Ghana for her part in the construction of the Akosombo dam contributed 37 million pounds out of the 200 million pounds so you can do the arithmetic.
Yes Nkrumah did all this for the love of Maami – Daavi Ghana he died in far away Romania penniless. Can that be said of any of those who came after the ill-fated 24th Feb. 1966 that arrest our economic and industrial development? A Big NO! Nkrumah set up Ghana National Trading Company - GNTC to offset importers like SCAO, CFAO, UTC, GB Ollivant so that by 1964 GNTC was the leading importer and was making profit which left multi- nationals French firms like CFAO and SCAO and British firms UTC almost insolvent in Ghana.
The Mate meho NLM-UP-PP-PFP-NPP nation wreckers threw the new nation Ghana out with the bath water because they were sour losers. These boycotters and saboteurs of our independence will on each Indy day regret their actions as of 1957 by throwing the baby out with the bath water. These lawless bunch who modus operandi- is” If not our way; then the highway” is still true to the letter today.
The coolaborated with foreigners to stifle and arrest the economic and industrial development of Oman Ghana by deceiving themselves that Ghanaians were queuing for so – called “ essential commodities” How stupid can one be when one refuses to buy locally made Ideal milk but would queue for imported Peak milk? How stupid can brain washed can one be if one queues for Ovaltine and refuses to buy the then locally made new Milo by Nestle? The analogy goes on and on.
The 1966 coup was done not to appease Ghanaians but rather Ghana and Nkrumah became a victim of the COLD WAR. Ghanaians and their “plight for so called essential commodities was secondary matter. It was EAST against WEST but Nkrumah was NAM and was standing in the way of American interest. “We neither face EAST nor WEST; we face forward.” Wa s one of his famous quotes. The final straw was when Nkrumah broke diplomatic relationship with UK in November 1965 and thereafter published his book Neo- Colonialism – the last stage of imperialism which exposed how the multinationals operate worldwide. That led to protest by the American government and suspension of $24 million American aid. Three months later Nkrumah has been deposed with the help of Mate Meho back stabbers. These notorious peoples party and affiliates must collectively bow their heads in shame.

Yes it was the Bolga factory and leather (hide) for Kumasi shoe factory. Ghana had an oil refinery when we didn't have oil but Nkrumah was able to out do Nigerians by building TOR and refining oil for the entire West Africa. This is how a man with vision works. Nkrumah built the meat factory near Bolga because he knew Ghana could get cattle meat cheaply from the then Upper Volta, Niger and some of the Sahel lands. This is brainstorming at work. Nkrumah always saw the big picture. This is where his opponents were in short supply. HAPPY INDY DAY, MARCUS.
The lode star of Africa will rise and shine again. Big up for the BLACK STAR

Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

Nkrumah did his best but unfortunately the problem is government run factories like many things run by government, are not efficient and don't last. By about early 60s most of the factories were beginning to suffer. The money that Nkrumah had was depleted so had to seek out help from an American company to build the Akosombo dam. The dependency on foreign loans started in Nkrumah’s time and has never stopped. Even though we got our independence we were never independent.

How can factories that were built and completed between 1962 and 1965 turn out profits? Did you ever study management?!The planning of Akosombo was in the late 50's after regaining our inpedpendence. Ghana contributed 37 Million pounds out of the 200 Million pounds for the construction of the dam. It took 5 years to build. Akosombo was completed and inaugurated in January 1966 a month before the ill-fated coup of feb. 24th 1966. Look you guys have told fat lies and you continue to believe such crap. I lived it and was part of the Story. Seeing is believing not hearsay. SOE's have catapulted countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia to emerging markets and all their leaders were supposedly dictators. What a corny joke! Take your illogical lies elsewhere. You can not be Independent when you Import everything from the UK which is why Nkrumah thought it fit build the factories her in Ghana. Ghanaians will queue for Peak milk when you have Ideal milk produced by Swiss firm Nestle locally. That was how brain washed our peasant uneducated Folks were. One more reason why Nkrumah made education free. So stop telling fairy tales because you don't foggiest idea about how Akosombo dam came to be.

In 1957 when we had independence we had over 400 million pounds from Britain. It was a lot of money at that time. Nkrumah wasted it by giving 10 million each to Ghana and Mali to support him to become the President of Africa for life without a Vice President and more money on his megalomeniac ambition to become Africa's first President. A lot more was wasted on Young Pioneers, CPP and Nsawam Prison where political opponents were tortured to death.
All these money could have been used to lay a solid infrastrucher on which we can built the economy to stop begging

Joel Blay, wise up. USA spent over $500b in wars in the middle east. You think that is wastage. Think again about the money they wasted in Iraq to train Saddam Husein to contain Iran and the Taliban at Afghanistan to send the Russians home. It is called interest. Why do you think Europe is congregating? it is called economics. You think Ghana alone can make it? Don't we regret that we are so small and insignificant in the world and with all the free rain, land, gold and oil we cannot feed ourselves after 57 years. My brother those of you who ignorantly helped the CIA so we could not get a big market for
Africa and Ghana should be remorseful instead of continue with your ignorance. USA is made up of 52 countries all of them bigger than Ghana by all rights. Think about that. If we do not listen to history and take her advice, we will continue this way whether Democracy or no democracy. NPP or NDC.

What are you talking about Joel Blay? You have a lot to learn since you seem to operate in the world where stupidity rules. Ghana could have had a billion dollars at the time of Ghana's independence and it would not have amounted to a hill of beans. The British colonial master you love so much did not have adequate infrastructure of roads, electricity, schools, libraries, pipe-borne water systems, water and sewage drain systems and a whole host of things they had in England even as the sold our mineral, natural and human resources to get there. You may also recall that the British intentionally made school scarce in Ghana to ensure there is a finite number of educated Ghanaians thereby justifying the abuse of a nation of illiterate majority. The few who were educated under the British turned out to be brain washed like you Joel Blay because they came back thinking that unless the master approved of their very thought processes there was no need to think and envision a better life built on Ghanaian or African ideals as displayed J.B. Danquah and others.
Nkrumah had to strategically use the money left, which was money of Ghana and not by the British as you educated but lacking the capacity to analyze has done. Yes, you and others continues to live in the world where common sense and foresight will never become essential but Ghana could not become free and prosperous while surrounding countries wallowed in misery. Do you understand what has been happening between the Unites States of America and its neighbors to the south? Those from South American countries mostly illegally enter into the USA in search of a better life. Nkrumah wanted an ideal African continent where we prospered together and did not create a continent of winners and loser nations as the world economic powerful nations have designed.
Do you, Joel Blay know that there has never been a developing nation that has ever dictated prices of its own natural and mineral resources on the global market place? That should tell you that it was the fear of a well developed African continent that scared the holy crap out of people who disliked Nkrumah. We have seen since 1966 the continued use of cheap human resources from Africa not to mention the ramp up extraction of our mineral and natural resources on the cheap so that people like you can claim life is better even as majority of Africa stayed under-developed.
One last think for you and others with similar lack of thought provoking exercises is that Nkrumah has been out of Ghana since 1966 and in the time from 1966 to 2014, Ghana has generated revenues in multiple of billions of dollars. Can you tell me what we have accomplished since you think you have had your preferred governments at play in Ghana? It does not hurt to think Joel Blay but it hurts to buy into stupidity brought on by tribe or party politics or to wait for hand-outs to come from the colonial powers you claim to be free from under..

YES, SO HE GAVE OUT 30 MILLION TO GUINEA, MALI AND EGYPT SO ... THAT IS WHAT THE POLITICIANS HAVE BEEN USING TO FOOL GHANAIANS. THE ADAGE GOES, A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED. HE HELPED THEM, YES OF COURSE BUT FOR A REASON AND SINCE NOBODY UNDERSTOOD HIM AT THAT TIME, THERE HAS BEEN ALL THESE FALSE STORIES ABOUT ONE OF THE GREATEST LEADERS IN THE 20TH CENTURY.
JUST AS WE GO A-BORROWING NOW AND DEPEND ON THE WEST EVERY YEAR TO BALANCE OUR BUDGETS, WHY DON'T YOU ADVISE YOURSELVES OR TELL THE PEOPLE OF THE WEST THAT YOUR VARIOUS GOVERNMENT ARE GIVING OUR COUNTRY AID - MONEY EACH YEAR EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE ALSO EXPERIENCING HARDSHIP?
ONCE AGAIN DON'T FORGET WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS, ALL OF YOU SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS THAT "TO WO ABOODO GU NSU NO ANI NA DAAKYE BI WONSA B?KA"
JESUS SAID THAT 'BECAUSE YOU DID NOT DO IT TO YOUR NEIGHBOR, YOU DID NOT DO IT FOR ME'
LET US STOP THIS STUPID ARGUMENT THAT HE GAVE OUR MONEY TO SOME COUNTRIES.
THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELVES NOW IS 'WHAT ARE OUR POLITICIANS DOING WITH THE LOANS THEY HAVE BEEN COLLECTING FROM LEFT AND RIGHT'
WITH WHAT HE HAD AND THEN SOME LOOK AT WHAT HE DID FOR GHANA. AND INSTEAD OF PRAISING HIM, OUR FAKE POLITICIANS ALWAYS HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL THE UNEDUCATED AND THE KNOW-NOTHINGS THAT HE SQUANDERED THE MONEY LEFT US BY THE BRITISH.
LOOK OVER THE LIST OF THINGS OPANYIN ANSAH HAS LISTED EXCLUDING THE KWABENYA PLANT ( IRAN AND NORTH KOREA ARE TRYING TO BUILD THEIR OWN AND THE WORLD IS CRYING FOUL. NKRUMAH BUILD GHANA'S WAY BACK IN THE EARLY SIXTIES AND JUST BECAUSE WE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ITS USE, WE STILL HAVE THE PLANT BUT NO ELECTRICITY.
THE TRUST SCHOOLS, THAT HE BUILT ALL OVER GHANA - ASANKRAGUA, MPRAESO, YAA ASANTEWAA, TWENEBOAH KODUA ETC ETC AND NOW YOU UN APPRECIATIVE PEOPLE ALWAYS COME OUT WITH THIS STUPID ARGUMENT THAT HE EMOTIED THE NATION'S COFFERS BY GIVING TO SOME AFRICAN COUNTRIES. SHAME UNTO YOU PEOPLE.
WE CAN NEVER LEAVE KWAME NKRUMAH OUT OF ANYTHING GOOD IN GHANA. JUST AS SAMIA IS SAYING, LET US GO BACK TO THE BASIS HE LEFT US IF NOT YOUR MAHAMA'S, KUFFOUR.S RAWLING'S WILL COME AND GO AND GHANA WILL STILL NOT FIND HER FOOTING.
WHEN REV OTABIL SAID GHANA LACKS MEN OF VISION, HE WAS INSULTED BY THOSE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE WORD - VISION.
NOT UNTIL WE OPEN PRAY FOR OPEN MINDS AND THE EYES OF OUR UNDERSTANDING, GHANA WILL TURN THAT SLOGAN BACK TO FORWARD NEVER, BACKWARDS, EVER.
SHAME UNTO YOU WHO INSULT NKRUMAH ALL THE TIME.

Ghana is an independent sovereign country and must remain so. The head of state or president is a Ghanaian and must always be a Ghanaian. Even though we associate with English speaking countries who are part of the British Commonwealth headed by Queen Elizabeth we would remain independent and maintain our sovereignty. We are are aware that our wealth is not common with them. We remain a member of the African Union and we would have bilateral ties with other countries and other unions. Let us rally round the Ghana flag irrespective of our political ties.

Your message is not only confusing, but also disingenuous. One hand you want us to 'cut the dependency cord', and at the same time you want us to embrace your father's legacy. What you do not know, perhaps, is that your father started the tribalism syndrome; he depended on foreign investors and advisors while he was in office. Remember none of his economic/industrial developments was spearheaded and controlled by Ghanians- they were from Soviet Union, the USA, Bulgaria etc. Are you familiar with what he had to do with our raw bauxite in relation to his aluminum factory? Raw bauxite to Jamaica; turned into ore, and brought to Ghana to feed the industry/factory. Is that not dependency? Most of his advisors were foreigners. Is that not dependency? Was his decision to ship the raw bauxite to Jamica to be refined re-shiping back to Ghana not informed by his hatred towards J.B Danquah and the then Okyehene, and by extension the Akyem Abuakwa poeple? Is that not tribalism. Was also his decision to cut out part of the Asante nation, and merged it with Brong, now Brong- Ahafo, not informed by his hatred towards the Asantes, and all things Asante? So, you see, you are being disingenuous, and perhaps dishonest to suggest that these behaviors never exixted under your father's reign. If we embrace your father's behavior and policies, we are not going to be able to 'realizing a patriotic, de-tribalized society' you, and most decent Ghanaians are craving for.

Samia, it takes money and mobilization to win power. You must start calling on all those friends of DR Kwame Nkrumah's and the goodwill he had to start mobilizing funds to support the Renaissance of CPP. Go to Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Egypt and the Arab world to mobilize funds for the party. You must move and shake CPP. Be proactive. You've got what it takes to be Nkrumah. Make the move and we will help you achieve Nkrumah's dreams for Ghana.

Thank you for educating us. It is a pity that most Ghanaians do not know much about Nkrumah's accomplishments. Why is this not made mandatory in schools? We are lost as a nation if we do not even know our own history.
The struggle continues is a book written by Nkrumah and this should made mandatory in Ghanaian Schools.
And Essiam Oil Mills.
Great Job Nana Ansah, but where can we the youth and young adults get this kind of information?, i dont recall reading any of this in J.S.S or S.S.S
