  Issuing statements and making speeches is not enough, if the SFG is truly committed to change. The SFG must do more to raise awareness and conscientize the masses. Above all, the SFG must resolutely dissociate itself from the ruling NDC and purge from its ranks well-known, corrupt and phony personalities who are part and parcel of the ruling neo-liberal and neo-colonialist NDC. It was a tragic, unforgivable error for the SPG to have associated itself with Tsatsu Tsikata and campaigned for him to be released from imprisonment for a clear case of fraud, malfeasance and corruption. Mr Tsikata is today one of the many multi-million dollar kleptocrats that the NDC has produced at the great expense of the state. The prominent member of the SFG, Kwesi Pratt, is also, for all intents and purposes, an active propagandist / activist of the NDC party, wearing the phony garb of the CPP. Mr Pratt also, as evidenced by disclosures from Wikileaks, moonlights as an intelligence asset to a well-known foreign embassy in Accra.
  
  Despite the correct tone and analysis of today’s statement, the SFG has become nothing more than a deceptive cover for opportunists and lackeys of the NDC.
