WHEN PEOPLE EMBARKED ON A PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION AT KENYASI IN ASHANTI REGION FOR A GOOD CAUSE,THE POLICE BRUTALLY INJURED 33 PEOPLE & ARRESTED OTHERS.THIS HAPPENED IN THE PRESENCE OF OTHER POLICE MEN WHO WERE STANDING TOGETHER WITH THE DEMONSTRATORS.TO THE EXTENT THAT SOME OF THE INJURED INCLUDED THE POLICE.
IN THE NORTH WHATEVER HAPPENS; EVEN IF HOUSES ARE BURNT,PEOPLE INJURED OR OTHERS KILLED ITS A DIFFERENT STORY.YOU WILL SEE THE POLICE STANDING ALOOF IN FULL GEAR;CURFEWS UPON CURFEWS BUT NOBODY IS ATTACKED OR ARRESTED AS IN THE ASHANTI REGION.
WE WERE ALL HERE IN THE 1ST WEEK IN JANUARY,2013 WHEN BUSES FULLY LOADED WITH NORTHERNERS ON THEIR WAY TO PRES. MAHAMA'S INAUGURATION,LOOTED,DESTROYED AND WOUNDED PEOPLE AT PANKRONO & OTHER SURROUNDING TOWNS IN ASHANTI REGION.
THE POLICE ARRIVED AFTER THE INCIDENT BUT NO ARREST WERE MADE AS AT NOW.THE POLICE COULD HAVE EASILY CHASED THEM;CONSIDERING THE TRAFFIC ON THAT ROUTE AND MADE ARREST.THIS IS THE BETTER GHANA FOR THE ASHANTIS.
WORSE SITUATIONS HAVE HAPPENED IN THE VOLTA REGION TOO AND THE SAME BIAS ATTITUDE WAS ON DISPLAY.
IF THERE IS ANY BAD POLICY TO BE PILOTED;ITS ASHANTI REGION.ASHANTIS ARE EXPERIENCING THE WORST OF THE "DUMSO,DUMSO"

MINISTERS,MAYORS,MCCES,DCES,BOARD MEMBERS,DIPLOMATS,HEAD OF INSTITUTIONS,SCHOLARSHIPS,SUPPORTERS TO SPORTS EVENTS ETC ALL ARE IN BIAS AGAINST ASHANTI REGION IN PARTICULAR & AKANS IN GENERAL.
ASHANTIS ARE NOT COWARDS AT ALL;BUT SLOW TO ANGER.ONE DAY WOULD BE ONE DAY & THERE WOULD BE AN EXPLOSION.

We cannot pretend as if the northern kingdom is ok. No it is not. After the dead of Yana, everything seems to be falling apart. The centre, which is the government was not strong enough to pull all sides together peacefully. People feel that the NPP government at the time didn't handled the Yana's conflict properly leaving pain in the hearts of many. So every little thing spark fire. Now one Ghanaian is dead and it is the duty of the government to seek justice for the dead. Everyone involve in this violence must be investigated and perpetrators be punished within the confines of the law to serves as a deterrent to others. Meanwhile, it is necessary the government sets up a committee of persons knowledgeable of northern traditional kingdom to oversee the activities of chieftaincy in the region. The minister in the region must do well to be abrace with all the chieftaincy disputes both major and minor in the region and work together with the chiefs to resolve them amicably. God Bless Ghana.
