Although he is a good preacher but most of the time his comments and preaching are horrible even in the sight of man not even God.

It is good not to be judgmental but we owe it a duty to preach some of these virtues and not to openly encourage them as the Man of God will like us to understand. Is it ok to say that we should allow people dress anyway up to being nude before God. Do such people understand and know fully well what they are doing should this not be driven by an ulterior motive? These attitudes cannot be out of ignorance but very well pre-meditated in my humble opinion. Church leaders should assist us appreciate the need to move away from such deviant behaviour all in the name of modernity and freedom. What dress will such people wear to a nite club then? Let's stop this pretence and show some respect to our Merciful Father. If such behaviour would cause some of us to fall, is it not the duty of the men of God to be unanimous than divided because the idea probably originated from another? If religion cannot also talk about change in such behaviour, then we must be joking. What will I be learning from the men of God if all these things are tolerated with impunity. The sooner these are nipped in the bud the better for all of us. We all have a common responsibility and I will plead with the man of God to take another reflection and use the special opportunity given to him by the Almighty father to bring about some of these changes than heighten its practice.

May the God Lord really direct our lives to show some decorum in such matters and allow sanity to prevail.

Look, we must be remindful that Satan comes to church as in Job 1:6. Did he go for salvation and transformation? No. To deceive and prey on weak and vulnerable believers and as well on highly spirited believers. We can be aware that these 'mini skirtees' even floor pastors. You know the challenges Paul, Peter & Co in the early church faced by which they advised that women should even cover their hairs. In the scriptures Samson, David, etc who were gifted with the spirit of God we all floored by women. Didn't Abraham father of faith lie because of the beauty of a woman?

Today do we compromise in many things just because we are modern and civilised? Why would the world advertise with women in literally everything today? Advertise a man on a bed, car or even toothpaste and a woman on same others and see the feminine power selling quickly.

Whiles Dr Otabil seeks to save and maintain souls, he must also be told that allowing mini skirts, exposure of cleavage, etc in the name of eternal live is opening doors for many to damnation. I know a saved soul needs time to transform but that cannot be an excuse to 'crowd-out' the saved ones. Sorry to say but from Spintex road to Trasaaco valley here Otabil lives may not be far as Dr Otabil thinks if he plays with Satan because no one is insulated from fall when it comes to woman traps. He should read his bible Abraham, David, Solomon, etc whose character he Otabil is trying to emulate, that where their characters were dented were much more issues of women causations.

Otabil can 'modernise' his church outside scriptural principles as excuse to lure souls into church but I pray that he doesn't one day see Satan himself mixing up with souls he is 'eager' to save.

I am really disappointed in you. Nothing will make a pastor to encourage such a thing but more tithe and collections. No wonder the bible says money is the root of all evil.
So is it no longer right for evil to be corrected? If the Holy spirit is that effective in converting such sinners who sin without any shame or guilt, why do you go about organizing crusades, why don't you let the Holy spirit go about converting people and bringing them to your church so that you can make more money?
You are a big disgrace to christians, from now onwards, never preach against sin in your surmons since you believe doing so is being judgemental. Did Jesus not rebuke the pharasees any time they went wrong? Why then are you leading people astray?

Thinking it would give her enough slack to raise her leg, she reached back and unzipped her skirt a little. She still could not reach the step. Embarrassed, she reached back once again to unzip it a little more. Still, she couldn't reach the step. So, with her skirt zipper halfway down, she reached back and unzipped her skirt all the way. Thinking that she could get on the step now, she lifted up her leg only to realize that she still couldn't reach the step. So, seeing how embarrassed the girl was, the man standing behind her put his hands around her waist and lifted her up on to the first step of the bus. The girl turned around furiously and said, "How dare you touch my body that way, I don't even know you!" Shocked, the man says, "Well, ma'am, after you reached around and unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured that we were friends."

Much as no one will condone a miniskirt wearing girl or lady in a church due to the arousement it may cause some people.But I guess if people are of a sound mind,they are capable of tolerating such dressing for the few periods they will spend listening to the good news.After a lady has come to understand the true word of God,her attitude to the way she dresses will change with time as her mind gets renewed.This was what the man was preaching about,yet listen to the barrage of abuse that has being fired at him. Intolerance is the proof our church going society rather than the true practice of the religion many claims to profess.

Without any respect or courtesy she told her she should not come to the Church in jeans (pants).
Why can't we be kind and patient one with another? Conversion is a process and so is perfection. Neither of the two is a sudden flight. It's a gradual step by step process varying from person to person. Peter the head apostle who led the Church on earth after the ascension of Christ had to go through the conversion process just like everybody else. Three times he denied he ever knew Jesus. Earlier Christ had told him"When thou art converted strengthen thy brethren meaning he was not yet converted . No one can achieve perfection on their own merit after everything we can do so why are we impatient and intolerant with each other, acting like we've already attained perfection? After all going to church everyday for the longest time does not necessarily make one better than the first time visitor to the church. The call by Dr Mensah Otabil is in order. I wonder why christians did not realize this much earlier? It's better late than never.

Do you want the churches to appoint people to stand at their gates to check dresses and turn away people in such dresses? That is not Christianity. Jesus says come as you are. Pastors are like fishermen, but in their case, the cleaning is done by God (the Holy spirit).

Whilst Mary sat at Jesus' feet learning from the Master teacher himself about the weightier matters of the kingdom of God, her sister Martha was rather pre-occupied with matters of the kitchen. Mini skirt ,jeans, suit,food, poverty, wealth, illness, deformity, social status, etc, should not be the barriers men erect to deny some of God's children from seeking a relationship with their Maker. God's greatest gift to his children, eternal life is there for all who seek for it. Satan, God's competitor for the souls of men has opened wide the gate to hell. The least we can do is open wide the gate to the kingdom of God to all of His children. We cannot say we're partners with God in the work of saving all of His children when we erect barriers to them.

I have for a long time thought what the pastor has spoken about. I thought about it when a friend argued that men with two wives should not be allowed into a church. I then wondered what should happen when we oh into the rural areas for evangelism and convert some old people with multiple wives and also what those additional wives should do? The line of thought is that if a lady with mini skirt as her only style of dressing is invited to church, should we refuse her entry till she has the cash to change her wardrobe or we allow her till the word of Gid works on her till she has renewal of mind. No one has power to overcome the sins that continually ensnare us but the power of God. Therefore to me, the pastor has done no wrong and spoken right. God bless Ghana.

Where in the story is the pastor quoted as saying the wearing of short skirt is good and acceptable? He is rather quoted as saying that though mini skirt is bad, it will be wrong to turn them away since the word that can change the wearer is found in the church. Some can argue that the strict dress code be enforced so that we keep them away till they accept to abide by the code. But what I support here is that the person wearing the skirt may find nothing wrong with it till the word of God is used to teach her so. Again, where all she has is short, can we wait till she has funds to change her wardrobe. When the word of God has done its work, she will be uncomfortable with her dressing. Since most of us are struggling Christians, I agree that the short skirt can have an effect on some men but let us focus on God and we will overcome.

These were his topics so the fact that 'short skirt' came in makes no difference. He sees and hears what other church members complain about in his church. So if it's about short skirts, he has to bring it in the open. It doesn't matter how people dress. Keeping and maintaining a very strict dress code in churches can close the doors to all kinds of people who are seeking salvation from the church and as far as I know churches are supposed to be an all inclusive place no matter who enters.
Isn't it?

So let Mr. Otabil do his work.

One may be flexible with certain things where the Bible appears not to clearly provide against it. However, where it clearly states it in black and white, you dare not encourage rebellion against it. What you are saying is like telling the Church to allow fornication in the Church until the Holy Spirit convicts the fornicators to stop it.

We all know that we need to help sinners repent, by breaking them in gently, but certain sins are non-negotiable. You nip the in the bud straight away

I believe there is truth in what Dr Otabil is saying. Everyone should be welcomed to the house of God no matter their state for that is where Jesus will change them through the holy spirit. Christians should be more tolerant, caring, kind and loving for that is what differenciates us from the worldly people. We all have our opinions and if we don't agree with someone, that should not be the reason to insult each other like children do more so a man of God. Don't we fear God to insult HIS prophet? Let God alone be the judge for He alone is perfect to judge. I believe as we welcome these people to church we should also work as on them individually and not just say we are waiting for God to change them because we never know their motives and God only works on a true repented person who wants to change. He never forces us that's why we always do whatever we want.We should't forget there are children and other baby christians in the church so as we welcome them, we should also help them to change so they don't corrupt the rest. If they are unwilling to change them we should reject them before they start polluting the vulnerable ones. One bad nut can spoil the whole soup!
