They do that FOR A LIVING, and we PAY THEM for what they do. You must therefore use your HEAD not your EMOTION to ASSESS THEIR PERFORMANCE. That is the ONLY WAY you can give them A FAIR ASSESSMENT. When they do a GOOD JOB you RETAIN them, when they don't, you KICK THEM OUT. If they COMMIT any CRIME whiles in OFFICE, you PROSECUTE THEM to serve as DETERRENT for others. The Citrus Farms, and the Ceramic Factory, in the Central Region; the Sugar Factory in Komenda; The Kade match Factory, in the Eastern Region; The Shoe factory, in Kumasi; The Akasanoma Television and Radio Factories, in Tema; The Nsawam Cannery, in Nsawam; the Aboso Glass Factory, in the Western Region; our own Atomic Energy commision (which could have stopped the Dumso, Dumso; our Golden tree chocolate factory, The Flour mill in Tema;........ etc.

It was interesting to note that the President, in promoting the "200 Schools" programme, said ..."all materials used in building these blocks will be local, except the GLASS.

Had we not destroyed these industries, mentioned above, plus others, we would not be worrying abouut importing most of these things.

Just as our patronage of made in Ghana goods would conserve scarce foreign exchange and aid development, so would patronage of Ghana's health facilities conserve foreign exchange and aid the development of our hospitals. Our leaders do not pay for overseas healthcare in Cedis. They pay in the same scarce foreign exchange they are demanding we help conserve by consuming made in Ghana goods. Similarly, their celebration of festive occasions abroad costs the nation and themselves foreign exchange that could help improve the situation at home. A Ghanaian lady is shopping at a small butcher shop. When her number is called, she tells the butcher "Give me a Ghanaian Guinea Fowl "

So the butcher goes into the cooler and comes out with a Guinea fowl, he plops it on the scale and the lady says "Let me see that Guinea fowl"

So the butcher hands it to her over the counter.

The lady takes her index and middle fingers and sticks them up the Guinea fowl ass, then pulls her fingers out, puts her fingers to her nose and smells them. She gets a look of disgust on her face, looks at the butcher and says "This is a Burkina be Guinea Fowl. I want a Ghanaian Guinea fowl. Take this back and get me a Ghanaian Guinea fowl."

So the butcher returns the Guinea Fowl to the cooler and comes back with another Guinea Fowl. The butcher puts it on the scale, then the lady says "Let me see that Guinea Fowl".

The lady once again sticks her fingers up the Guinea Fowl's ass and then smells her fingers.

"This is a Mali Guinea Fowl. Take it back. What's wrong with you, I said I want a Ghanaian Guinea Fowl... go get me a Ghanaian Guinea fowl before I call the manager".

So the butcher takes it back to the cooler and comes out with another. This time he hands the Guinea Fowl to the lady instead of putting it on the scale.

Again the lady sticks her fingers up the Guinea fowl's ass and then smells her fingers. "Ahhh, now this is a Ghanaian Guinea Fowl".
Then the lady looks at the butcher and says "You're not from around here are you?"

The butcher says "No, I'm not"

The lady asks the butcher "Where are you from?"

The butcher turns around, drops his pants, bends over, looks at the lady and says "Why don't you smell my ass and tell me lady"

Most Ghanaians need to change their attitude.
Moreover, the president alone cannot do this. Trade committee at parliament as well as sector minister are to identify these goods, and do a little research about it write a proposal and submit it to the president for his signature.

An ‘enormous gulf’ has been exposed between the EU and the US through Europe’s reluctance to buy hormone meat or GM food from the US. Industry and labor groups voiced concern to EU and US negotiators that the globe’s biggest trade pact was under threat.
“There is an enormous gulf between the EU and US positions,” said Michael Dolan, a lobbyist for the US Teamsters Union at the fourth round of trade talks between the EU and US in Brussels on Wednesday.
The talks marked an unusual occasion, being the first time that lobbyists were received, and additionally marking the first time that the forum allowed reporters inside.
Those involved in negotiating a pact have expressed a desire to finalize a deal before the end of the year. Eight months of talks have already passed. However, tensions which have underscored trade talks worldwide have been a drawback, and continued low public support for the deal has exacerbated tensions over food.
Despite this, its supporters say the deal would lead to some $100 billion per year in growth on both sides, and the EU says that ‘Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership’ (TTIP) is under threat from protesters it deems ‘anti-globalization’.
In 2012, the EU exported $16.6 billion in farm produce to the US, while US farmers delivered $9.9 billion to Europe. The gap was largely blamed on the EU ban on GM food imports.
“Our trade could be way bigger,” Douglas Nelson, a CropLife America adviser told Reuters. “The TTIP is a way to normalize trade with the European Union.”
However, EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht frequently reasserts that there will be no changes to the EU regulation of GM food even if an agreement is reached with the US.
The EU is also closed to US beef from cattle raised with growth hormones.
On March 10, the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) secretary, Owen Paterson, added his backing to an EU proposal that may prompt the fast-tracking of GM crops for commercial cultivation in the country.
Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, GM Freeze, the Soil Association and GeneWatch UK added their signatures to a letter to UK Prime Minister David Cameron condemning the plans.
GeneWatch UK director, Helen Wallace, stated that Monsanto and other GM companies were “desperate to push their GM crops into other countries before the devastating impacts on wildlife and farming destroy existing markets,” according to local publication Farmers Weekly.
