The premier university of Ghana - The University of Ghana Legon sadly does not appear in the top 500 universities on earth. This must be corrected immediately. The university in order to achieve this must improve:
1) Faculty student ratio
2) The number of research projects it carries out
3) The test scores of its entry class (internationally normalised)
4) Employers' review of performance of its graduates (local and abroad)
5) Peer review by other universities

Why state enterprises taken over by state enterprises?
TOR, GNPC and GHAPOHA are themselves long overdue for privitisation!
Government does policies not business!
That is why corruption our food!

That is the reason why Ghana government run enterprise can never and would never succeed. They will employ their cousins, nephews, brothers and sisters. Such people turn up for work when they like, do what they like and would not be sacked, always sick but paid. Productivity would be low, very low. Equipment and machines would be stolen or missing, taken home to do a private job.
Remember Ghana Airways? That's it!! Go to the Ministries and other GH government agencies, and roll-check where the members of staff are? Yet they are fully paid. Yet we pile on insult on the Europeans and American neo-colonialists, who are only there to exploit us. What are we doing as people to run our own affairs?
A South African construction company is coming to build Skytrain in Kumasi. Do we have construction companies in Ghana that are fully Ghanaian own? Do we have banks in Ghana that are fully Ghanaian own? Do we have railway, electrical, civil engineers, geologists? Can't these companies employ these specialists, take loan from the local bank and do what that foreign firm is coming to do? When do we learn to do such things?
We are waiting for this pastor who has made prototype of various products, including cars, to get frustrated and give up. I have read that he said he is not giving up, and is palnning soon to assemble his cars. WHAT IS THE GHANA GOVERNMENT SITTING ON HIS ASS DOING? WHAT ARE BANKS DOING? ARE THE CEOs, AND MANAGERS OF GHANAIAN OWN BANKS BLIND? DO THEY UNDERSTAND RISKS, PROFITS, COSTS, BUSINESS, INVESTMENT. THEY KNOW THEM. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?
