Interpol deals with governments not with ethnic tribal and uncivilized parties. Interpol is not an akurae organization. NPP is a bunch of uncivilized, uneducated professors and child trackers

As at now, I believe that the decision to allow Afoko to campaign is right. Even if he manages to win the election before the Interpol report arrives and it confirms Mr Afoko was a criminal, the party could decide to strip him of the post and organise a by-election of some sort.
But if the Vetting Committee does not allow him to campaign now and the Interpol report arrives after the elections to absolve Mr Afoko, that would be injustice to him, since the results of the election could not be reversed in that case.
If it is in fact true that Mr Afoko was once a criminal and he fails to say it now but waits for Interpol to confirm it so, Mr Afoko would be seen to have done much injustice to the party and the people of Ghana, whether or not he wins the party leadership elections.

Afoko's candidacy is a golden opportunity for the NPP to dispel the widely held notion that it is unfailingly tribal...why put a northerner through such a test even if the narrative about him spending a spell in jail is true ...

Afoko's candidacy is a golden opportunity for the NPP to dispel the widely held notion that it is unfailingly tribal...why put a northerner through such a test even if the narrative about him spending a spell in jail is true which I doubt very much.....continuing to hold on to this standard is detrimental and would eventually reinforce the idea that the NPP would never give a northerner a chance to compete to be the President of Ghana....we are watching carefully every single step the NPP takes and if Afoko is disqualified, then we will advise ourselves......

There is no case against the guy. He is going to contest and win! He is not the presidential candidate. If there ia any interpol issues later, he can be made to resign. Until then, he has every right to contest and win.

Had such rigorous scrutiny been applied to Nana Akufo-Addo, prior to his first instance of Flagbearership, he probably would not have qualified for the position.

We all know that it still remains a mystery what caused Nana's studentship in Oxford to terminate abruptly. The School conveniently kept it under wraps. Why didn't the NPP solicit other more intrusive agencies to rake up all that were covered up about him?

But when it comes to Afoko, these folks think it should be God himself that must first declare him clean to qualify for the contest at stake.

Th guy should be left alone to campaign as everybody else. Don't steal his time. Don't deface his image because he might displace your favorite.

Afoko is a liar? TWhat caused the NPP Vetting C`ttee to disclose the identity of the so-called 'informant',when it had previously maintained absolute secrecy about the name? This 'a little here,a little there' is meant to cast along shadow over Afoko`s bid for the chairmanship slot;and I am surprised his campaign team has not caught on to this political gimmick!
The c`ttee set Afoko up for this latest twist,making him look very foolish,as far as I am concerned.
He now has to come out and offer an explanation about the exact conversation he had with c`ttee,i starting with who said what to him to make him believe he was free as a bird,and then lead him to proclaim total vindication in this 'ghost-petition' affair!
