The national communications authority has shirked in its duty. It has made no provision whatsoever for the conversion of the current internet protocol (IPV4) to the new standard which is IPV6. It has not issued any directive to any of the telecommunication companies to migrate to this new standard. Many countries are in the process of converting and some countries have already completed the transition.
Ghana must convert to IPV6, the new standard, by the end of the year. Ghana must not be left behind. What is interesting is that the existing infrastructure already has provision for this.
Some phones dont have firewalls.
Aside that there is a problem with encryption on the internet in Ghana.

Though you claim to be a computer consultant, but you haven't understood how the anti-virus progmas work.
The methodology is very simple: The software contains a list of milions of known viruses called Virus Definition List. The software ONLY scans target computer and checks if any of the files on the computer is in the list of viruses. If yes, that particular file is added to the list of viruses found on that system. In most cases, the user should confirm the deletion of the viruses.
From here, you can deduce that all what the software needs to know is the name of the virus and NOT the language of the operating system. And indeed, the names are known because those who write the viruses ARE proud to make their 'work' public.
On why you need to upadte you security software everyday: know that every single day, hundreds of new viruses are released by virus developers. When the anti-virus developers get hint and the names of the new viruses, they include the new names in their databases and make them available for download. If you don't update, your system will be hihgly vulnerable because it will contain 'ancient' list of viruses.
To the virus software itself: it can be programmed to display info/messages in several language. By extracting the 'Current Culture' of the computer, the virus software can extract the languae settings of the user and display messages accordingly.

i see your point Mr. Ansong, but I was not referring to VDLs when I asked the question about universal database application of a stand-alone antivirus software. i am talking about corporate Gateway Identification Firewals,such as beeing suggested we import from the Koreans. secondly, for the benefit of simple example,try installing any antivirus software designed specifically for a specific region(Asia,europe ,or USa on a platform designed by say Linux or MacCintosh to run applications for say South African corporate environment.
