I just cannot believe that an Acting Executive Director of a public agency could give such silly answers (that the BMW was bought for the minister to inspect the road in comfort). Ghana has really gone to the dogs because both politicians and senior civil servants are sucking the nation dry. It is very clear that the BMW was purchased so that someone will get his or her cut (the usual create, loot and share).

What is sad is that this man who was then Director of Project has been rewarded with promotion for his corruption. Reward for inefficiency and incompetence.

I get really sad when Ghanaians in positions of trust think that cost should always go up exponentially with more outputs/outcomes. I cannot understand how and why changing dual carriage (2 lanes on both sides) to 4 lanes on both sides should more than triple the the total cost from GHc 40.1 million to GHc 128 million. What happened to economies of scale? That is never true, in fact, the cost should not even go up by 100% (GHc 40.2 million) let alone over 300%. This is plain and simple thievery or day light robbery of the state. Mr Michael Abbey and his cronies should be millionaires by now.

Yet, this so-called Public Accounts Committee of Parliament will accept this Kwaku Ananse explanation and let this man and the minister go scot free. At least he should be surcharged with the cost of the BMW. Nothing will come out of this and as long as no civil servants and politicians are not sanctioned for wrong doing but rather rewarded with promotion, nothing will change in Ghana.

No wonder their General Secretary Asiedu Nketia thinks the most important thing in the selection of our leader in the 2016 elections is AGE and so is advising the NPP to go for a young leader. They the NDC don't care how Ghanaians are suffering and therefore continue to misuse the tax payers money anyhow, and they don't even regret such actions but defend with some silly answers. This NDC has really gotten Ghanaians cheap so they continue to misuse our monies whilst they tax us heavily and tell us because they have a young leader we will still vote for them. We shall see.

The GHA boss explained, the contract sum of the Achimota-Ofankor road was substantially reviewed because of changes to the original plan of dual carriageway into eight-lane road.l hope the committee would go take a physical look at the road if is eight-lane road,you can never trust this crooks.
