these drivers should do the right thing to avoid police harassments. Overloading, picking and packing at unauthorised places and have all their documents valid.

Ashanti Regional Police Commander has already issued strong warning to all such Police Officers who extort money from commercial drivers.
We wait to see what will come out of it.Congratulations to the commercial drivers for protesting against police harassment and for extorting money from them.This nonsense must stop.No more extortion.

Ohter people are doing worse than these drivers are doing,else where in Ghana,but nobody talks about it,because it is not in Kumasi.How about what happened in Tamale recently?Atleast the drivers are not taking the laws into their hands,as some NDC supporters do,anytime they are peeved with their party,they go on rampage and nothing is said about them.The Taxis are private owned they can do with it what they want,so why this hate?
And besides,who told you is only Ashantis who are living and driving Taxis in Kumasi?You should be ashamed of yourself.

Thank you very much Kwaa. I have a strong belief that Ghana is suffering today because there is so much hatred for Asantes. Many people have chosen to support the evil deeds that s committed in Ghana today because because they feel Asantes will become the biggest benefactor if the current situation is changed.

Most Ghanaians see elections as a referendum to decide whether or not they like Asantes. It doesn't matter if all the resources of the nation are plundered with nothing to show so long as it will keep Asantes near central power.

The NDC unleashed Capitation on them and the health service utilization in the region is reducing but I am yet to hear anybody apart from Asantes speaking on the issue. If it was in another region we would all have heard the numerous calls to address the issues. But as they say, no condition is permanent. Today it is Asantes, tomorrow who knows what will come upon the other tribe?

We should all make an effort to understand that that in spite of our tribal differences, what happens to one tribe affects the other in some way. Let's think Ghana first and everything will get better.

There are traffic and moving violations all over the globe but it`s up to the government to setup rules in abiding it.Any driver who violate, such rules must be summons for fine base upon their level of penalty. For the fact that such rules are not exiting in Ghana or perhaps not implemented properly, the police have instituted their own policy in taking money from drivers, an amount to their satisfactory for decades as tradition, compelling the police in humiliating and harassing drivers.

This unconstitutional police behavior must stop and let every one including the police follow the law of the nation.
