This is because prices of petroleum products in the country are tied with the price of crude oil on the international market.Any downward change in the price of crude oil must be passed on to the consumer in the form of cheaper petroleum products.Conversely an upward change in the price of crude oil on the international market will lead to an increase in the price of petroleum products in Ghana.Consumers in Ghana have the right to cheaper petroleum products when the price of crude oil falls on the international market.

Also, it was about three days ago that NDC came out with a statement that power outages will go on indefinitely but since Nana's gave the hint of running, the government came out saying that the power outages will go down by next week or so. The ruling government fear Nana to the extent that they are forced to make some changes to cool down peoples anger.
