The world econimic situation is affecting every country and Ghana is not an exception so why pretending as if he is not aware of the situation.
We are getting fed up with his know it all attitude. What did he actually achieve when he was at the Bank of Ghana?? Otherwise we would not have been facing the situation we are facing now. Yes, it is utterly nonesense.

The US, Europe (exclude Portugal, Italy, Greece & Spain who have unrelated economic issues) and some countries like those in the Caribbean (who depend mainly on offshore banking and tourism) are those who mainly felt the pinch but most affected countries including the US have recovered from the recession that started in2008. The problems in Ghana are self inflicted and the earlier we get out of the DENIAL state and address the issues head on the better it would be for the country.

Until the manufacturing sector improves, we will always be faced with such situation. Kweku Baako being a layman has no clue and is being taken for a ride by Bawumia.

Mr Baako should stop pontificating about NPPs capabilities to solve our economic woes, becos we gave them eight solid years, but they could not take us to the land of honey as they trumpeted in the 2000 general elections. I believe that, to succeed, we need to work synergistically ( NPP,NDC, CPP) to move this country forward and stop solving our problems on radio. The issues I have with the lecture are two. One, the audience was one sided that is NPP. Two, the diagnosis of the problem was woefully inaccurate. For example all the negative references were during ndc era. On the other hand all the positive references were attributed to npp. Are we solving problems or calling names? It was a good show but should have been depoliticised. The public policy ratio was low.

With all the respect Kweku Baako,I disagree with you on this submission. Dr Bawumia was a Deputy Governor of Banks who supervised the devaluation of the Cedi during Kuffour's regime. Do you know how that stealing scheme destroyed the economy. Here is the same guy coming to point accusing fingers at the current gov't. What solutions is he offering? Bawumia is acting the ostrich.Eloquence is not the means of solving Ghana's problems.Even advanced economies like the US and the European Union are faced with tremendous economic challenges, how much more a developing country like Ghana which can not even add value to its primary product. I expect Kweku Baako and Dr. Bawumia to be talking about how we can increase productivity, reduce laziness and waste and add value to our primary productions which will in the long run give the much needed strength to the local cedi.
