The Sisaalas largely follow their traditional religion. I can find no source which lists Islam as their predominant religion. Which source can you cite?

As far as I know most of these literacy campaigners inasmuch as they are trying to help the locals read and write their scripts also do help in our national effort to make everyone literate. This alone is enough for the people of the scripts to encouraged to continue their legacy with the hope that one day you those previledged to be literate will have no one again to mislead for your selfish interests. We are not backward because we are muslims or christians but selfish and lazy which these religions to the best of my knowledge seeks to address.

Our children, brothers and sisters are still being examined at the BECE level in Dagari, yet the whiteman and some money-hungry people can devote time and resources translating the bible into Sissali. How many Sissala illitrates can read Sissali let alone non-english reading sissala christians? If we want Sissala people to read the bible in their own language, the beginning is the teaching and learning of the Sissala language in our own Sissala schools. Lets stop all this selfish nonsense and get serious.
