This might go back to the history oif the party when Kwame Nkrumah became target of assassination and in recent monht the verbiage directed towards President Mahama is nothing to be proud of.

Shamefully, the leadership keeps quiet when things happened. One can see the type of attacked launched on Wereko Brobrrey, Nyaho Tamakloe and others when they disagree with the leadership.

This makes me worried about the party as genuine democratic instrument of political transformation. If NPP cannot accept internal debate of leadership change, then what kind of leadership is leading NPP to have the mandate to rule.

What you should be doing is to talk about how to allay any suspicions as Dr. Apraku has, and about the Police and the Communities working together to ensure that those crimes subside. It does not help the situation attacking Dr. Apraku for expressing his fears.

Fools like that drivers us back, the whole regional chairman. What is his job as the regional chairman of our party. If he is complaining what does he expect from those who cant complaint.
As the chairman his job is to lead for the region people from arm robbery, if he cant stop it he cant be the chairman for the people in the region.
Apraku should have been talking to the police and national security not the media. Apraku has failed us as NPP members. Things like arm robbery, good drinking water and electricity are the reasons people elect the regional chairmen. Their duty as regional chairmen for all the political is to make sure their people live in safety and good health. Whether the chairman political party is in power or not, its the duty they must always tactle.
Apraku should have been shouting to the regional police commission and asking him to resign or do your work well.
If we have one police officer to serve 800 people,that is what the commissioner should be tell John Mahama government.
Ghana need an extra 6,000 police officers to be able to sort out the crime. Police should be those you see on the streets. Police should be in every dept, home and at the corner without drawing attention.

As a national Political figure who acts like a permanent leader of the NPP, even beyond electoral mandate, it is expected of him to be more vocal and taking initiative in condemning acts of this nature.

Even though Dr. Apraku's suspicions are mere speculations at this point, it helps to build Public confidence in Nana's leadership to have him say something to denounce any such violent threats, especially those likely meant to intimidate political opponents.

The attitude of "I-am-not-going-to-hurt-you-but-if-I-see-another-hurting-you-I-won't-help-save-you" could easily be misconstrued for an endorsement of an evil act. National political leaders should be more proactively empathetic. If they choose to be unresponsive to life-changing events, positive or otherwise, it sends the wrong message that they either do not care enough or they are not up-date with current issues.

We saw little to no input from Nana during the Ya Na case shocking ruling that failed to convict even one person for the death of 40 plus citizens. We heard almost nothing from Nana on the various Judgment Debt cases, some if which began on his watch as the Attorney-General. We heard only Nana's silence on the charges that Kennedy Agyapong made against his own Party leadership for corruption. We have not heard a word from Nana on the worsening crime rate in the country, with all his loudly-touted legal acumen and experience in Law Enforcement. The list goes on and on...

We only hear Nana being stentorian on self-serving activities that directly promote his ambition to be the next President.

His supporters, however few, could frequently organize events, (Parties, Welcome Ceremonies, etc.) to fan Nana's popularity but those events don't help much to convince anyone outside his organization that he is really capable of steering the Nation in the right direction.

Any aspiring Presidential candidate who wastes time engaging in every fan-rattling "Choo Boi" event that has no significant theme on National reconstruction but only for claiming that Politician's right to the Presidency really has nothing to offer the Nation.

Our Security outfits must get to the bottom of these life-threatening attacks, and ensure the safety of the Political candidates, no matter what Party they belong to, or their level of popularity.

At a time when our country is on it's kneels and crying for rescue,all you keep doing is create confusion and disunity and you expect people to chose you as a leader.
You've already blown your chance on that by your actions and behavior.
Stop throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.Nobody is threatening your life it's a gimmick.
We have people destroying our country at a fast and large scale and that's where you should direct your attacks.
According to you,you've been robbed or attacked three times.Why didn't you raise it the very first time it happened?

In as much as it's difficult to suspect foul-play, we have to try and be circumspect here. First of all, circumstances and evidence aside, it could very well be robbery! But if it is robbery, how come the security cameras did not capture the identities of the perps? Why not question the security officers at post?
Secondly, it could very well be a simple act of subterfuge orchestrated by the ruling NDC govt to cast a dark light on Akuffo Addo and the NPP. Why? Because perception is near-everything in politics and more so in Ghanaian politics so if NDC can create conflicts that make Akuffo Addo seem like a ruthless thug, then they have won some of the battle against him come election time. Secondly, if they can make it seem like NPP members are ruthless to the point of attacking their own members then once again, they (NDC) would have won the PR battle against NPP.

Thirdly, and there's a disclaimer here: Everybody is innocent until proven beyond reasonable doubt that he/she is guilty! But just for the heck of it i'll theorize that Akuffo Addo's men could be behind this for obvious reasons but more importantly, what if this is the work of somebody like Allan Kyeremanteng who's trying to cause confusion and discourse between the two bosom buddies? Think about this for a minute-- Yes, Dr. Apraku has declared his intention to run for office but he is also very much a part of the Akuffo Addo camp so if for whatever reason, he doesnt get the nod and theres a slight probability of a run off, if Akuffo Addo is still in his( Apraku's) books then he's more than likely to throw his weight behind Nana Addo to defeat Kyeremanteng once again re: 2007 NPP Primaries!

The bottomline is that, this could be a mere coincidence or the work of a political rival as suspected by many.

Lets wait for the police report. I doubt it'll include anything analysis-worthy though.

On the surface, the finger points to the NPP or its renegades, but that may not be the case; there are false flag operations in politics. Crime against one Ghanaian is crime against us all. If while in office Dr Apraku and his colleagues had taken the time to build up a strong non-political police branch with teeth, no one would be daring today to murder him because of politics. Good and impartial law and order is good for us all. It levels the field.

What happened to the Ga youth who spoke out against him. They were also mercilessly assaulted. What did Akuffo Addo do? He sent them gifts at the hospital to pacify them. He preaches rule of law but condones violence when it is used to advance his ambitions. He pretends he is a reformed character but the wind beneath his sail is the same vile or odious wind. he is surrounded by thugs who will do his bidding. Even his attorney Addison displayed thuggish behaviour in Court.
