  You should analytically rebut what Dr. Osei said instead of branding his suggestions as nonsensical. You yourself from all indications has nothing tangible to offer; even your name is fake.

  What about the Ghana government is broke don't you understand Dr. Akoto Osei? There should be no debate about the fact that our government cannot meet its month to month financial/monetary obligations for we see it in the inability for government to consistently pay civil servants, the inability to pay its utility bills each month and or pay its debt obligations. This is not a talk about who is at fault but Dr. Akoto Osei I say use your head if you truly have any love for Ghana.

  If the Finance Minister had suggested to the Government to lay some workers off which will help the economy in a way, would that be a welcome news? Absolutely not. In times of economic constraints, austerity measures are put in place to avoid total collapse.
  
  I used to work for a foreign company in the mid-90's when its budget was not all that sound. The proposals the managing body put on table was either to lay some workers off; cut working hours from 40 to 32 per week and cut overtime completely for some section of the employees then they could give a raise (increment)which was just a peanut. Considering the fact that some workers would loose their jobs which will impact their families, the workers came into agreement to forgo the raise (increment) for 2-years until the company came back on it's foot. This step put all of us into work to pay our bills and cater for our families.
  
  The economy is mess up but I tell you what, there are numerous ways to jump start it which Mr. Mahama is not inviting people with ideas to come and help. One thing crystal clear is that, governing is not a hard business if you assemble the best talents around you than immature people who can't see right from wrong. E&OE.
