God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Where in the world will a bogus pilot project, which was supposed to be 6 months at the most to evaluate, be experimented in the most populous region in the country for 2 years, and still counting ?

Can the Mahama and his fellow NDC stealers explaín to Ghanaians why the govt spends so little on health for any Ghanaian living in the Ashanti region than others in the remaining regions, even though people in that region pay the same premium as their counterparts in other regions ?

It is regrettable to have so-called educated people like Kofi think and talk like this. This functionally illiterate man is only trying to draw attention to himself and possibly to try and create some disaffection for the NDC and President Mahama ahead of the 2016 Elections. Ghana certainly does not need such divisivist people at this time. It is very unfortunate to say the least. I am however much assured of the fact that, the good Ashanti people will be able to see through this. Of course there may be mistakes here and there but that does not mean a particular tribe of people are being discriminated against. This same thing was said against Mills. Had the program succeeded, would you guys be screaming that the Region had been discriminated against? Should we go back and find other projects that Kufuor, Acheampong, and Afrifah heralded in other Regions that failed and charge them with discrimination, too?

Look, folks, if the Government's program has failed because it is a bad program, or poorly designed by incompetent Officials, just let us focus on pointing that out and not tag any bigotry to it.

If you guys keep pouring tribalism all over the road to the Elections, the NPP would slip off into the gutter and be stuck in opposition, punished again by the electorate at large, no matter how terrible the Nation's Economic Well-status maybe. Then, you guys would be confounded as to why the NPP lost, and cry that the voting was rigged.

The NPP needs some substantial numbers of other tribes members to win the Elections. It cannot depend solely on Ashantis or even Akans, to win. Taking a close look at the 2008 and 2012 elections, NDC votes keep increasing in the ashanti region. Instead of replacing nana addo to regain thier lost apathy votes in ashanti region, they are preaching tribalism to their own disadvantage. If there is anyone who hates Ashantis, it is nana addo and not mahama. Nana addo is the one who is preventing them from taking control of your party. Deal with your own internal wranglings and stop preaching tribalism.

I am a ghanaian residing in england. And what I can say is, people cannot keep blaming the goverment. YES THEY ARE CORRUPT!. And the MP did not mention of any discrimination of Ashantis. Its only the media trying monopolise the people as always and trying thier upmost best to cause confusion.

I urge people to stand together, fight coruption and also be of benefit to society. The academical instituions have to pioneer research. People should be encoraged to buy Ghanaian products rather than relying on the by-products of the white man, as we've always done. This leads to a lazy, corrupt and often dependant society.

Ashantes and all Akan speaking people especially the Akyems, Kwahus, Ahafos do not need a prophet to tell the world that the Mahama led criminally corrupt government is a bigotry continuity government with diabolically hedged plan against Ashantes and the majority speaking Akan people. This started far back the bloody days of Rawlings led senseless fake revolution.

The killings of Afrifa, Yaw Boakye, Acheampong, the three high Court Judges and the current fire in Accra intentionally set to eliminate the dominant Akan traders, the attack on the Akan speaking Katamanto traders led by NDC outlawed and notorious Vanderpuiye, now disgustedly appointed a minister of state, the unbelievable attack on the fair lady Ursula Owusu, the change of Akan names in Accra on state owned institutions and the senseless demolishing of properties and destroying of Akan businesses recently at Dansoman and other places by the Accra Mayor whilst other tribes are left to sell in the middle of the road at places like Mokola around the Tudu areas and Nima tells it all.

The less talk about state and political appointments the better. All young Akan speaking graduates who performed creditably at their national service are at the end of the service laid out whilst lazy deadheads from Volta and the three Northern regions are retained and officially employed.

The national scholarship which is financially sponsored by the Akan cocoa farmer today only goes for the children from the Volta and the Northern regions.

Do not be deceived. Most people in the NDC government bearing Akan names are in fact from North Volta and Brongs.

The tribal line drawn and tribal war drum is long played by the Rawlings/Kofi Awornors/Tsikatas and co who went on attempted rewriting a distorted political history that Ewes are the political hegemonic tribes who decides what in Ghana, laughable!!!

We remember vividly how the late Atta Mills was shamefully exposed with his unguided tribal utterances against the Ashantes by the American Ambassador.

Who God bless no one curses. Certainly a pay back period will come!!!

Instead, Kofi Jumah and your ilk choose to use bigotry to cause its cancellation, giving the Administration an excuse to disbelieve the problems in the program are real.

I hate that Ashanti Region, and any other, for that matter, be used for a testing ground for some bogus program causing untold hardships on the people. But I, for one, did not have the necessary knowledge on the program to make any pre-launching protest. So, if Kofi Jumah knew that it was a bad program that would hurt the people, why did he not raise his objection earlier? That is my argument. If he did not know how bad the program could be, assuming that it is more because of implementation incompetence that the program is failing than any intrinsic defects in the program itself, at what point in time did he discover that shortfall? And if he is just discovering the failure, how does he prove it is because of some tribal discrimination that the bad program was imposed on Ashanti?

Couching the argument in bigotry obscures the problems that we all would acknowlege needs be corrected. So, where is the hypocrisy in that stand? Wearing your emotions on your sleeve does not help resolve crucial National issues, and that is not a partisan assertion. Meanwhile, your puny brain cannot fathom why it is necessary to keep an open mind and be objective even when dealing with your enemy. So, anything that contrasts your opinion has to come from some perceived enemy of yours, huh?

Just so you know, Sir, I do not submit my opinions with partisan or tribalistic mind-frame. I am not a card-holding member of any Political Party. I cherish being independent,right now, so that I can freely and honestly express my mind constructively without partisan sentiments.

You may be helping the Nation better, and Ashanti even much better, if you would not see every problem as some tribal discriminatory scheme. In that case, when there really happens to be any such discrimination, we could all stentorianly take the Officials responsible to task.

So, "Yaw B" wise up, act mature,show courage in telling the truth and stop throwing insults around without basis. Deal more with provable facts. If the program is bad, it must be stopped now, and no Region deserves such lousy programs. Period!!

Is this where our politics has become?For the simple reason that a scheme is piloted in that region does that make the president anti-Ashanti.Kofi Jumah must not forget that the NPP does not win votes in parts of Ghana because of certain historical antecedents.The fact that Mr Mahama is the Northerner is the main reason why the opposition threats his government with such contempt and do not see any good thing in him.
