The WC is not the place to experiment. This is one of the reasons why some of us were advocating for a foreign coach! At least, they can be decisive.

In Ghana's worst era, General Kutu Acheampong used to write notes to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. These note normally read: "this woman came to me crying; give her one Golf". And this was a VW Golf!

I guess, for Kwesi Appiah, can say that: "these old players came to me whining; take them to the WC".

Just select the players whom you and your technical team colleagues think are fit and in form and don't bother what the arm chair coaches think. They are quite a lot. You cannot satisfy all Ghanaians. Whatever you select will be met by criticism by Ghanaians. So stick to your guns and select those who think will do well and don't bother about the arm chair coaches.

Hello Mr AA we love and appreciate how far you have brought us and believe it you can do more you are not done yet.You the first ever local captain of the the Black Stars to qualify us to the WC this a biggie and that feat will remain in soccer history books forever.There are several who have set several records and it will stay so forever with folks such as the Brong Ahafo guy Asamoah Gyan who has scored the highest goals in BS history the first to score quickest goal at the wc for Ghana the goal getter to represent Ghana 3x at the wc etc.same with Stephen Appiah first to captain the BS to the WC and represent Ghana 2x,Muntare another younster machine to represent Ghana at the wc 3x,John Mensah,Paintsil,Vorsah,Keeper Kingston,A.Asamoah,Dede Ayew,Kevin P.Boateng etc all these guys are folks who have set several records to be proud about and no doubt our John Mensah is one of the finest ever defender for the BS and I love the guy a lot about how he is able to organise the back men but for now I donot think he is really up to the task not because he is no good no but just because for several reasons his endurance is just not there he is just toooo injury prone.It is great he wants to play but that is not the point he will have to accept that there is an end to every era for everybody.Aftyerall nobody chooses to be old but like it or not it will happen just as death to every human kind.Just look at greats such as Pele,Mohammed Ali,Iron Mike Tyson,Azumah Zoom Zoom Nelson,JJ Rawlings etc.Is the JJ who was tormenting folks 1979 the same JJ today?People were running when he opened his mouth back then but today when he opens his mouth people just make fun of the old man.They just wish he even opens his mouth more so that they will have more fun.Folks look at him today just as commedian.We all have to sometimes accept old age.Yes stay active even in your old age to keep you young but not high competitive sports such as soccer,boxing,wrestling etc.use your common sense judgement.Always even the young will get old someday.That is a fact.Steve Appiah,Abedi,Kuffuor,Opoku Nti,Polo,Opoku Afiriyie,Dan Oppong,Sunday,Dan Owusu,Mfum,Osei Kofi,Mama Acquah,Abukare,Keeper Botwey etc.they have all come and gone.Nobody thrives forever only God.Thanks.

Ghana needs this guy and VORSAH,for sure,to make our opponents,very hard to penetrate our defence to score.
I fell in love with MENSAH during the 2006 WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT.
He is a real giant in soccer.
Kwesi Appiah,should not make the mistake in shunning this guy from the team.
